LBM (Large Bar Mill) project, Hyundai Steel Company, Dangjin, South Korea.
Responsibility for commissioning / startup of Fluids unit: hydraulic, lubrication and grease.
- Verify and control of right piping connections between units and final equipment according to technical documentation (hydraulic and lubrication scheme).
- Strong knowledge and understanding of technical documentation (hydraulic and lubrication schemes).
- Complete knowledge and management of hydraulic equipment (pumps, single solenoid valves, proportional valves, flow switch, pressure gauge, filter, heater …).
- Verify and set of proportional valves with appropriate tool.
- Commission and start-up of the fluids system in collaboration with Mechanical supervisors, according to technical specification / applicable schemes.
- Gives technical suggestion to solve technical issues or/and to improve the system’s performances.
- Manages and instructs Client’s personnel / Client’s contractor personnel.
- Prepares daily/weekly reports and final commissioning certificates of related equipment.
- Capability to interface with Ele&A
- Strictly follow the safety guidelines
Achievements:- Commissioning, Start-up & repair many faults for the following :- - BDM (Breakdown Mill) - RR90 Stands - Sizing Stands - Hot Metal Saws - Cooling Beds & Laser Profile Detector Machine.
Responsible for ensuring maintenance works are managed on a planned and scheduled basis where a planned approach to maintenance rather than breakdown response becomes the standard.
- Managing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) & collection of equipment data such as elapsed machine hours & fuel consumptions and the entry of this data into the CMMS.
- Planning servicing and component maintenance in accordance with Manufacturer and site standards
- Scheduling maintenance based on resources available.
- Ensuring inventory items are available in readiness for planned maintenance activities and requisitioning parts from suppliers as required.
- Projecting short and long term maintenance schedules.
- Monitor maintenance performance indicators and report on compliance.
- Monitor equipment backlog works and ensure outstanding works are being addressed.
- Identifying required parts and developing service material kits for scheduled maintenance works and ensuring these are requisitioned from warehouse facilities in readiness for job commencement.
- Maintaining direct purchase materials holding facility and advising on and releasing materials for planned works.
- Coordination of weekly maintenance schedule meetings.
- Assistance in developing budgets and monitoring budget performance.
Achievements: - Improve asset register & Improve weekly maintenance plans & weekly meeting.
- Maintenance Planning & Spare Parts Planning for new power plant.
- Optimize PM tasks for some plants to save maintenance cost.
The hydraulic section in the centralized maintenance department is responsible for the maintenance of the hydraulic and pneumatic systems in all plants (SMP1&2 (EAF, LF, CCM, Preheating, Cooling Beds & Hot Billet Charge), RMP1&2, DRP, and Lime Plant).
Responsibilities:
- Lead a group of hydraulic technicians.
- Performs scheduled maintenance inspections and repairs as directed in the maintenance manual for the hydraulic systems (hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and accumulators).
- Implement the preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Install and commission the new hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoot faults with hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a wide variety of situations.
- Allocating work to a team of hydraulic technicians.
- Finding and fixing faults and readjustment the hydraulic systems, Overhauling and replacing parts according to schedule, and Responding immediately to system breakdowns.
- Controlling maintenance tools and stocks of supplies, dealing with the purchasing department and suppliers for the purchasing requests, make the technical study of the offers.
Achievements: - Have been selected as a member in the Quality Assurance Department for the implementation and auditing of the IMS (ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007).
- Hydraulic Training Course for the technicians (1st internal training course in SSC).
- Operation Training of KAMAG Industry Transporter (Scrap Transporters) for drivers.
