1) Troubleshoots and investigates failed equipment and helps to develop root cause failure analysis (Main engine: DOOSAN- MAN B&W- 12K98ME-7D-M.C.R. 97575 BHP@ 97 RPM., Diesel engine: DOOSAN - MAN DEISEL - 9l32/40, 3 Diesel generators of 4500 kw each at 720 RPM.6600 V., Exhaust Gas Economizer ( fully automatic )- HP Section with 7.9 Barg and LP Section with 3.6 Barg, superheated steam with 21.81 t/h., Auxiliary boiler - vertical oil fired boiler-MISSION TM OS - TCI 6000 Kg/h with working pressure 6.0 Barg., WHRS Turbo Generator - DRESSER RAND Multi - stage steam turbine with HP inlet steam of 8.9 Barg, LP inlet steam of4.5 Barg, power rating of 7450 kw @ 6709 RPM. pumps, compressors, fuel purifiers, fresh water generators, propulsion engines, generator engines, mooring winches, pneumatic capstans, life boats and others).
2) Starting and synchronizing different electric power sources ( diesel generators, steam turbo generators and shaft generators).
3) Constructing technical reports for the maintenance and routine work and spare parts orders.
4) Performing breakdown and planned maintenance for mechanical systems and components.
5) Installing, testing and adjusting of new equipment.
6) Follows preventative maintenance schedules and utilizes asset management system.
7) Provides support to field personnel to help diagnose problems remotely.
8) Maintaining the tools and equipment clean and organized.
