• Lecturing courses on: Chemical Process Design and Engineering, Renewable Energy, Strength of Materials, etc.
• Capacity building for postgraduate students on scientific publication writing, scientific poster design and proposal/grant writing.
• Conceptualization of waste heat harvesting and utilization in petroleum refineries, gasification plants and chemical process plants.
• Investigation of hot gas trace components from autothermal reforming (ATR) and partial oxidation (POX) gasification process via quench water system.
• Studies of petroleum refinery hydrogen production and network management. Evaluation of PFD's and P & ID's.
• Evaluation of Fischer-Tropsch syncrude to fuel process chains (GtL) and utilization of stranded gas for various fuels production (Gas flaring/CO2 reduction).
• Cost estimation studies of different GtL process routes
• Compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results.
• Operate experimental chemical or petrochemical pilot plant.
• Assist the teams on various researches, experimental and flow sheet simulation (ASPEN Plus ® and ASPEN Hysys ®) activities.
• Project management and support.
• Preparation of sustainability plan & carbon footprint reduction for the target year 2015 via:
• Validation of mass & heat balance in all units with the aid of Aspen Plus,
• Evaluation of projects for energy consumption reduction,
• Identification & suggestion of new projects geared towards process improvement, operational planning with cost benefit case studies.
• Preparation of drawings in AutoCAD (simple technological schemes, simple drawings of apparatuses like tanks, mixers, reactors, calculation of pressure drops etc.)
• Participation in equipment and product design
• Participation in marketing department works - marketing of PROFARB products in Africa.
• Sales of Lubricating Oil
• Monitoring of operations in the control room and gas plant.
• Preparing gas consumption calculations and operation reports.
• Working as a control panel operator.
• Involved in the pigging, inspection and maintenance activities of natural gas pipelines.
• Support chief and senior researchers in their various research works.
• Characterization of oils from non-edible oilseeds as substitute for petroleum based chemicals in cosmetics and body care products.
• Production of pulp and paper from agro-wastes and certain annual grass plants, using secondary fiber formulation.
