• Providing a high standard of inpatient and outpatient clinic and endoscopy services in gastroenterology; accomplishing daily arrangements including ER round and ICU patients with the fellows, registrar, resident and interns; offering cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment of patients.
• Contributing to the gastroenterology, medical and endoscopy care with specialized interest a variety of fields such as Hepatology, advanced endoscopy, Capsule endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, etc.
• Providing leadership and sharing expertise and skills to deliver high quality care, creating scientific discussion about the cases, analyzing repots of laboratory and radiological investigation and developing a comprehensive plan of management, and long term plan on discharge.
• Offering a spectrum of procedures in treating almost any gastrointestinal disorder and covering a weekly booked list of endoscopy including about 20-30 patients; mentoring the registrar/ fellows during the procedure in 3 endoscopy rooms.
• Attending to extra-list of endoscopy on Thursday for the urgent cases and extending a continuing responsibility for the care of patients with a pre-booked list for 4-6 months.
• Supplying an efficient convenient health care to all patients including supervision of emergency and booked admissions of endoscopy cases/ on call gastroenterology cases as well as on order by administration for VIPs.
• Passionately giving patients the best possible care in invasive procedures entailing Lumbar Puncture (LP), abdominal paracentesis, thoracentesis and insertion of central lines, endotracheal intubation, bronchoscopy, pleural biopsy, arterial line insertion, bone marrow aspiration and biopsy.
• Delivering expertise in performing fibroscan and capsule endoscopy including many challenging diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy, liver biopsy and oesophageal pH interpretation
• Attending weekly scientific meeting with the resident doctors, colleagues and consultant to keep current with of all new developments in the field, researches papers, lectures and reviews to gain exposure to all kind of therapeutic endoscopic procedures
