Member of Workflow Management System Project in municipality of Taif city. The project is about automating internal processes of the municipality and some of the services provided to citizens. In total there are 225 automated processes. In this project, Captaris is used as workflow engine while ASP.Net(C#) for development and MSSQL for database. The system is integrated with some of the municipality’s applications. My role includes analyzing, developing, testing, training end users and maintaining the system.
The scope of the job involves requirements gathering, designing & developing new applications. Also it involves maintaining and adding new features to existing applications. Depending on the project, tasks can be done individually or as a team.
In this job, ASP.Net with C# is used for developing new applications while VB6 is used for maintaining legacy applications and MS SQL Server for databases.
Since this role requires team based projects, it has given me the chance to learn basic skills of Team Foundation Server (TFS). Besides that, it gave me the chance to communicate with customers for providing support, troubleshooting and discussing new requirements.
