GENERAL
Responsible for operational, financial, HSSE and quality performance of the seismic field crew, Party Chief is accountable for the line management structure of the seismic crew and all direct and indirect employees, visitors and customers.

PROFITABILITY
• Manage the physical and human resources of your crew to attain the target production and further maximise productivity and efficiency.
• Propose to Management any equipment/personnel additional resources or modifications, which could improve, crew efficiency and which could improve crew efficiency and field profit.
• Control crew expenditure within budget. Disseminate budgets to crew sections and review budgets when additional resources are assigned to increase revenue.
• Negotiate with Customer Representative on crew to maximise crew revenue and market any value added crew options.

OPERATIONAL
• Motivate and Coordinate all sections of the crew to operate as a team.
• Ensure all operations conform to Customer and Company technical, maintenance and quality specifications.
• Responsible for the accuracy and timely reporting of production, HSSE and any other required customer and company reports.
• Supervise crew operations through line management and through regular and random field visits and audits.

SAFETY
• Promote line management of safety to ensure compliance with the crew safety case and contractual and regulatory HSSE requirements.
• Organise and manage risk through the controls of the crew HSSE Management System. Maintain HSSE-MS documentation and ensure update with operational changes.
• Ensure the maintenance of internal audit schedules with subsequent follow up and implementation of rectification measures if and when required.
• Conduct and ensure thorough reporting and investigation of near misses, incidents and accidents.
• Through line management communicate and motivate safety awareness at all crew levels.

• Responsible for timely reporting to Head Seismologist in the event of FD/Production Group being unable to meet the time schedule.
• Reports to Head Seismologist if Surveyors are unable to supply input data according to schedule
• Produces pre and post plot fold per offset range displays and ensures that Head Seismologist receives a copy of pre and post plot fold per offset range displays and quality feedback information displays.
• Assigns a Seismologist to account for and issue explosives to Senior Licensed Shooter and Senior Pre-loader and conducts weekly audit of explosives magazines.
• Compiles daily, weekly and monthly survey, drills and recording production reports.
• Responsible for adhering to standards, contingency measures, targets, reporting and remedial actions in accordance with the contract agreement
