•Expertise: Leverage skills in preparing strategic plans, assessing production progress & taking adequate corrective actions. Expert in rolling Mill rebar 8mm to 40mm, round bar, and other section products. Comprehensive knowledge of ISO standards and ensure implementation of system within the department
Job Responsibilities
•Annual Budget & costing Preparation for Plant production
•Responsible for managing production within allocated budgetary provision to ensure the cost effectiveness.
•Ensure the effectiveness of melt shop functional objectives through leadership of production, managing performance & motivating the staff, provision of formal & informal feedback & appraisal.
•Expert in operation & management in smooth running of Steel Melt Shop
•Developed, obtained approval & implement the annual operating plan, policies & procedures for melt shop to enable the achievement
•Production Planning, managed technical tasks of planning, budgeting, costing and ordering parts through SAP network.
•Reported to Plant CEO and led team of 117. Managed shop, Machine Shop and Guide Shop operations.
•Reduced department costs by in-house manufacturing of imported spares and optimum utilization of men & machines
•Calculated ROI of proposed new machinery and tooling requirements to justify investment and obtain approvals.
•Plant Erection, Commissioning & now in operation to achieve full capacity
•Process and production control of low alloy steels being produced through High Frequency Induction Furnace with Capacity of 25 Tons liquid metal, and CCM.
•Responsible for quality control and quality assurance spanning the gamut of operation
•Liaising with industrial consultants to effect modification in the layout of production area to optimize the production process of products.
•Submitting monthly data of performance parameters to the upper management, along with proposals to eliminate bottlenecks in production operation
•Auditing usage of Raw materials and accordingly placing orders to ensure continual
•Production with minimal idle stock. Reconciling audited stock reports with the accounts department
•Directing, monitoring and coordinating sectional processes, evaluation and plans to
Guarantee standard running conditions and process productivity in accordance to
daily / monthly production plans and schedule.
•Process and production control of Ladle Refining Furnace (LRF) for refining of low and Medium alloy steel.
•Managing / monitoring ladle preparation material & ladle working performance via LRF/Direct Rout
•Optimize Tundish life by increasing sequence length.
•Prepare Monthly, Quarterly & Yearly statistical Quality performance reports which will reflects target versus actual figures.
• Communicate with ISO Coordinators & internal auditors for ISO documentation.

•Four 18 Ton capacity induction furnaces (Electrothermy)
•Ladle Refining Furnace (LRF)
•Two strand Caster
Responsibilities are as under
•Production planning and quality control
•Developing, Implementing and Monitoring Key Production Unit, Quality Control Systems and Procedures ensuring Compliance with all Internal and External Customer requirements
•Provide leadership, management, evaluation and training to all employees
•Make list purchasing lab supplies or preparing ordering lists
•Attend meetings with Management over quality
•Resolved work problems and made necessary recommendations for improved production.
•Devised systems for better process control, efficient operations of machineries and proper control on material handling.
•Preparing manuals, procedure and work instruction, developing and writing statements of requirement, technical standard and specifications, developing and monitoring equipment calibration standard.
Mechanical Testing of Steel Bars by UTM Machine
Ensuring Metallurgical Analysis of products including Macro and Micro etching
•Ensuring in process testing like Slag analysis in chemical lab
•Ensuring Visual Inspection to monitor & control the metallurgical defects in the product
•Ensuring Process Control Parameters of Melting in Induction furnace, Heat Treatment of Billets / Ingots, Casting of Steel, Rolling of Billets / Ingots to steel Bars
•Ensuring Identification and Traceability of all products at in process and Final Stage
•Analyzing the data of Test Results from Processes / Products & suggesting Corrective Actions
•Keeping track of Non-Complying Products and communicates with related departments & raise the NCP note & deviation note accordingly
Monitoring process & product performance by collecting relevant information and preparing statistical reports
•Handling customer complaints & giving corrective actions accordingly by proper investigation & Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Implementing and monitoring ISO 9001-2008 & OHSAS 18001-2007 system procedures
•Set up and implementing Standard Operating Procedures for all QC activities
•Having awareness of TMT rebar manufacturing technology complying BS4449 Standard
