Preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
 Preparing monthly financial statements, including distributing monthly revenue and
expenditure reports to departments.
 Calculate and prepare reimbursement billings and tracks receivables; reconciles
monthly accounts receivable.
 Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports,
statements and/or projections.
 Monitor and maintain key accounting information for the operating unit within the
finance system.
 Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or
accounting applications.
 Account balancing and reconciling skills.
Ability to lead, train, and functionally supervise staff and/or student employees.
 Working knowledge of MS Excel spreadsheet software to quantify and illustrate
routine financial reports, statements, and/or projections.
 Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
 Undertake all accounting activities and ensure accounting transactions are recorded
promptly and properly.
 Review statements to ensure accountability and accuracy.
 Ensure that all accounting records and supporting documents comply with
management requirements and provide an easily auditable record.
 Regularly review accounting books, ledgers, statements, and systems to keep up to
date and to issue timely reports, as required.
 Make best-practice recommendations to management and support the development
and implementation of effective accounting policies and procedures.
 Follow best practices for accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions to
ensure a healthy cash flow cycle.
 Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for the company bank accounts and resolve
long-outstanding items.
 Support internal and external audits, as required.
