- Setting cycle meetings with the department managers to discuss the issues that are affecting the company performance in each department, from inventory control point of view.
- Investigating any diversion from the policy and the agreed figures with the related parties. Coordinating with Internal Audit department to provide the necessary data and consultation about the different cases.
- Monitoring the company stock value and detecting any inaccurate figures due to wrong transactions. Ensuring to minimize the unnecessary stock and reporting any related issue.
- Reporting the negative stock items to the operation team, and following up with the inventory control team to ensure solving and adjusting the negative and fake positive stock.
- Controlling the invoice matching and costing process. Ensuring all received invoices to be completely integrated in the system to achieve accurate item cost and stock level.
- Solving the discrepancies that arise between the company and the suppliers, when reported by the finance team, by looking for the root cause, identifying the issue, making the needed transactions and communicating back to finance.
- Solving any negative margin reported from the related department, and doing the needed treatment after detecting the reasons behind.
- Following any cost change due to a certain promotion or season, and ensuring to be covered and compensated from the supplier.
- Ensuring to have clean item creation data, by reporting any discrepancy regarding cost variances or discounts not applied in the system or not considered from the suppliers.
- Following up the stock count schedule for all branches, generating the variances and communicating to the related branch management to proceed with the recount and adjustments. Then ensuring to have accurate figures and investigating any unjustified shrink.
- Ensuring all stock transaction to be finalized before any month closing, such as shrink recording, inventory adjustments, stock count corrections and pending transfers.
- Preparing the monthly closing reports and communicating to finance team. Comparing the P&L figures to the integrated data from known and unknown shrink, provisions, accruals, compensation and credit notes applied on shrink. Preparing the shrink dashboard, the stock cover dashboard, stock turn, GMROII to be communicated to the top management.
