Job Summary
To manage, supervise, follow up and check all mechanical systems engineering works such as materials submittals, method statement, shop drawings, etc.
Job Responsibilities 1
- To manage self, to manage others and to liaise with the MEP coordinators, main contractor technical team, consultant, etc.
- To ensure the discipline shop drawings are prepared in accordance with the relevant design drawings, specifications, details in coordination with all other disciplines.
- To ensure that the drawings submission schedule efficiently within the target schedule in the best quality.
- To ensure the shop drawings are executed in compliance with local authorities that has jurisdiction over the discipline scope of
work i.e. Health and Safety and all standards applicable to the project such as QCS2014 and the project specifications.
- To ensure adherence to the relevant company's policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities 2
- To ensure the satisfaction of the client, consultant and main contractor and MEP project manager/CM always.
- To guide the technical engineers/draftsmen through the work activities management process throughout the duration of the project engineering phase.
- Assign specific targets to the various work activities.
- To plan and allocate responsibilities to team members.
- To review and approve Mechanical shop drawings before submission.
- To review and approve Mechanical design calculations before submission.
- To review and sign-off Mechanical material technical submittal before issuance to consultant.
- To review and approve method statements in compliance with project specifications, authorities, etc.
- To liaise with other technical departments(architect, structural..etc) for the relevant reviews, approvals, etc.
Additional Responsibilities
- Ensures to participate in the establishment of a Staff
- Organizational Chart that includes all mobilization and demobilization dates
- Ensures to understand your career path and that for each site team member and support all forward growth.
- On an annual basis, ensure to support the evaluation of the performance of each assigned team member according to company policy and procedure.
- Ensures to participate in the addressing and settling of all disputes between team members, subcontractors, consultants or any outside entity.
- Ensures to address any and all disciplinary issues with all site staff according to company policy and procedure.
- Ensures cause to have addressed any and all HR related issues on the project site for any site team member in support of a highly motivated, committed and loyal staff.

Project : St. Regis 5-star Hotel and Branded
Residence- Oman.
Client : AL-Fardan
• Responsible for monitoring the MEP Contractor’s site per the Contract and maintaining delivery standards including quality, health, and safety.
• MEP coordination shop drawing verification through modeling (Navisworks).
• Propose & submit Material submittal, Shop drawing, RFI, and Method statement based on Project requirements & budget.
• Coordination between all departments (Civil, Architect, ID, Electrical & Procurement) for site work.
• Direct report to the Technical Director and MEP manager.
• Dealing with Project Consultants/client representatives and Suppliers.
• Directly involved with trekkers for site progress in line with the project schedule.
• Working with design modification if any new requirement from the client.
• Design modification to comply with Authority comments to get approval.
• Provide support to the Manager in managing the project budget and ensuring that project costs are kept within the approved limits.
• Prepared supporting documents and detailed measurement sheets for the Variation Claims.
• Prepared Variation Order and cost Estimation for new items of work.
• Pricing Variations to Clients and Prepared Monthly Commercial reports in conjunction with the PM and site team.

Bachelor of the science of engineering in mechanical manufacturing field. Four year full time course with six month internship industrial training program.
