MEDICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor and provide care to patients on primary inpatient cardiology service.
• Perform noninvasive cardiac studies, including transthoracic echocardiography, stress tests, stress echocardiography, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and ambulatery holter monitor.
• Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiography.
• Provide outpatient care to patients in cardiology clinic.
• Supervise and teach cardiology fellows, medicine residents, and medical students rotating on cardiac services.
• Prescribe and administer medication, therapy and other specialized medical care to treat and prevent disease.
• Supplie and provide care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner.
• Follow ethical and regulatory guidelines.
• Take part in hospital administrative functions that ensure the continued operations.
