• Development of pre-opening budget: in cooperation with other heads of departments estimation of costs for Operating budget and uploading it into Corporate Performance Management System “SUN INFO”

Assist and provide financial guidance in the formulation and implementation of Strategic Plan, Budget, Forecast, Cash Flow and KPO’s (Goals Program)
Ensure an up to date cash flow projection is maintained and maximise cash flow performance of the hotel through controls on inventory, credit and collection, disbursements, deposits and remittances.
Prepare monthly position of actual results against budget, analyses results and recommends to Executive Committee measures required to meet budget.
Manage the preparation of accurate outlooks for forthcoming months and forecast for the remainder of the year in collaboration with the Executive Committee
Implement and review financial controls and policies
Assist with the communication with Owners
Analyse financial and management reports
Evaluate existing internal control measures that apply to accounting procedures as per Policies & Procedures
Employ adequate internal control procedures to ensure correct authorization for payment procedures
Manage internal and external audits when they occur
Provide administrative support to Management with reference to policy enforcement, business advice and operational assistance
Identifie training needs, develop formal training plans and conduct training sessions for accounting and operational staff in coordination with other departments
Identify staff with potential for promotion and/or transfer within Accounting operation
Obtain appropriate legal counsel regarding the business practices of the hotel and maintain an awareness of local laws, rules and regulations.
Provide safekeeping, including proper storage and access for all contracts, leases and other financial records
Follow-up on all capital expenditures to ensure compliance with original justification and approval
Participate in local recognized professional and industry organizations
Recommend and maintains appropriate list of delegation of authority for Hotel Management
Conduct monthly inspections and tests to ensure all departments are complying with required procedures
Perform those duties required by the controls checklist issued by Regional Director of Finance
Control and monitor the Local Banking arrangements made for the operation of the Hotel in conjunction with the Hotel Owners
Review operating equipment stores to avoid unnecessary/excessive purchases and to eliminate (or at least be aware of) obsolete slow moving items
Ensure all Balance Sheet accounts are reconciled on monthly basis, review and approve those reconciliations
Perform ad-hoc tasks when requested by the General Manager or the Regional Director of Finance.
