As WASH Coordinator, I led NRC’s humanitarian WASH portfolio across Northwest Syria, serving over 200, 000 IDPs in 100+ camps and a host community. I managed the full project cycle for emergency WASH interventions, including water trucking, desludging, solid waste management, Cash for Work, and the O&M of solar-powered water networks.

I oversaw a $3.6M annual portfolio, ensuring compliance with donor regulations, Sphere standards, NRC SOPs, and national technical codes. I led procurement planning, financial tracking, contractor management, risk mitigation, and cross-departmental coordination, ensuring protection-sensitive and inclusive service delivery.

My leadership helped transition the program from emergency water trucking to climate-resilient water networks powered by solar energy. I managed 8+ contractors, delivering ~7, 000 m³ of water daily, while integrating feedback from NRC’s Community Feedback Mechanism to improve service accountability.

I also embedded Cash-for-Work (CfW) activities into WASH programming to support vulnerable households and strengthen local ownership. In coordination with NRC's Livelihoods team, I contributed to the design of market-sensitive.

In a politically complex and insecure setting, I coordinated with the WASH Cluster, Technical Working Groups, CCCM actors, and local authorities to align interventions and avoid duplication. I maintained implementation continuity through strong remote management strategies, mentoring a diverse team of 60+ staff, including CBWs.

I led workforce planning, recruitment, and capacity building, ensuring gender balance and team cohesion. I introduced real-time performance dashboards and Excel-based tools to improve oversight and streamline reporting.

I led all monitoring and evaluation efforts, ensuring high-quality donor reporting (4Ws, GORS), conducting post-implementation reviews, and supporting proposal development. I contributed to learning and strategy by capturing lessons from grant cycles and field implementation.

My cross-cutting achievements included updating SOPs for WASH Interventions, embedding sustainability and cost-efficiency. I also spearheaded community safety campaigns and ensured incident prevention through CBW training and engagement with community leaders.

Developed communication channels with key stakeholders and represented BORDA in capacity-building initiatives, including designing a capacity-building strategy in coordination with targeted authorities aligning with national water policies. Conducted training needs assessments, selected and evaluated trainers and trainees, facilitated training sessions, and engaged with national and international institutions for collaboration. Prepared regular progress reports and final MoVs for donor reporting.
The Provision of Water Tanks to Underserved Communities in Southern Ghor

Led the humanitarian intervention as Project Manager to improve equitable access to safe water for vulnerable and underserved communities in Southern Ghor. Conducted participatory needs assessments and vulnerability-based targeting to identify the most at-risk households, including those with persons with disabilities, female-headed families, and economically disadvantaged groups. Oversaw project planning, resource scheduling, and field implementation, ensuring efficient Cash-for-Work (CfW) selection and supervision in line with protection principles and community engagement practices. Represented BORDA in coordination meetings with local authorities, humanitarian actors, and community leaders, ensuring transparency, stakeholder buy-in, and conflict-sensitive programming. Monitored project progress, conducted post-distribution evaluations, and prepared comprehensive updates and final Means of Verification (MoVs) reports in compliance with donor requirements and humanitarian accountability standards.
Capacity building for Azraq Municipality to improve sanitation services

Led the treated wastewater reuse component, implementing a pilot agricultural reuse project to promote safe practices and highlight common behavioural risks through targeted trainings and workshops. Coordinated with relevant stakeholders, supervised Cash-for-Work (CfW) teams, and prepared regular progress updates and final Means of Verification (MoVs) reports for donor submission.

Led a market-based 300-household WASH rehabilitation intervention, overseeing needs assessment, local supplier coordination, price monitoring, and technical compliance, targeting vulnerable refugee and host community families across four governorates. Oversaw the full cycle of the intervention for over 300 households—from conducting vulnerability-based assessments and beneficiary selection to rehabilitation planning, supervision of works, and final reporting. Ensured that all activities adhered to Sphere standards, national building codes, and WASH regulations while promoting safe, dignified access to WASH services for the most at-risk populations. Coordinated technical implementation with the WASH team, local authorities, and stakeholders including WAJ, MoSD, and MoE. Integrated hygiene promotion activities with infrastructure works to improve public health outcomes and supported inclusive WASH designs that addressed the needs of children, persons with disabilities, and female-headed households. AICS Schools Rehabilitation Project in Al Karak and Ma'an Governorate

Oversaw the rehabilitation of public schools serving both host community and refugee students, including children with disabilities, in alignment with humanitarian principles and the right to safe, inclusive, and accessible education. Ensured all rehabilitation works met national building codes, Ministry of Education technical requirements, and were consistent with Sphere standards, particularly regarding classroom safety, sanitation, accessibility, and inclusive infrastructure. Coordinated daily site logistics and technical supervision of contracted staff, ensuring precise implementation of drawings and specifications. Acted as the focal point for liaison between the Ministry of Education, project manager, subcontractors, and local stakeholders, resolving site challenges promptly to avoid service disruption. Actively contributed to child protection and inclusion by advocating for barrier-free access and gender-segregated WASH facilities. Maintained detailed reporting to support project monitoring and donor accountability.

Ibn Hammad Dam Construction in Al Karak Governorate - Ghor Area
Stakeholders: Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ); Financier: Arab Potash Company.
Provided engineering and documentation support during the construction of the Ibn Hammad Dam as part of a broader integrated water resources management effort. Participated in the preparation and submission of technical documents, including shop drawings and material submittals, ensuring full alignment with consultant specifications and national regulations issued by the Ministry of Water and Irrigation. Maintained accurate technical records and submittal logs, facilitated design clarifications with consultants, and ensured compliance with regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle. Contributed to the implementation of structural components including dam body, spillways, diversion channels, and riprap works, supporting the project’s objectives in sustainable water retention and flood control.

Al Ashrafeih School Construction in Al Karak Governorate

Led the full lifecycle of a school construction project serving vulnerable communities in southern Jordan, managing design review, planning, implementation, and risk mitigation. Ensured alignment with national building codes, Ministry of Public Works standards, and safety regulations throughout construction. Coordinated closely with the Ministry of Education, local authorities, and community leaders to address contextual needs, secure local buy-in, and facilitate transparent communication. Oversaw contractor teams, technical supervision, and quality assurance to deliver the infrastructure on time and within budget, while promoting inclusive and safe learning environments for children.
