Assisting Design Managers throughout mitigation works for the design of multiple interfacing assets on the HS2 route through the S1 Phase.
Continual development of design in accordance to
Programme, addressing design issues, assessing potential risks Assessing commercial implications, and carrying out technical studies to grant L3 Certification to Comply with HS2, Network Rail and SCS Railways Standards through the Detailed Design, Kick off, Interdisciplinary Review Stages.
Implementation of the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System ISO 14001:2015. Introduced robust site inspections and HSE complying safety checks to produce reports. Continual development of the Technical Assurance Documents as well as Design Assurance documents during HS2 Pre-Construction phase for Civils, Main and Mitigation Works in Area East at Euston. Reporting to Area Leads on asset progress and attending meetings for design changes and technical assurance changes on evidence for respective packages Main, Mitigation and Civil Works. Liaising with Third party design checkers (COWI/TAA) on regular basis ensuring the design compatibility and assurance of respective packages.
Compiling VAPs, Task information Delivery Plans, Single Assurance packs for Certifications for multiple assets. Utilising Asset-wise and reviewing documents on Enable My Team (EMT) and managing the EMT process for assurance purposes.
Quality Assurance -
Managing and overseeing all associated NCRs, Punchworks, BIM Snags & EOWLs of C412 phase of the Elizabeth Line (Cross Rail). Utilising multiple trackers to track and report to Clients & Senior Leadership Managing Team (SLT) on Project progress from quality Assurance prospective. Self-assuring and conducting regular onsite Inspections using BIM 360 to record MEP & Civil snags, Working alongside client Field Engineers on thorough site inspections for multi-disciplinary snags. Coordinating with Package Managers with respect to outstanding range of works from Civils to MEP (M&E). Inspecting Subcontractors QA check sheets/ITPs. Collating QA documentation for H&S files. Liaising with Third party and stakeholders on project progress and ensuring targets are reviewed on a weekly basis. Assisting site team with programming of site works in 4-week look-ahead in accordance with QA standards
Managing and Supervising the removal and reinstatement of Bridge deck over Addiscombe Road, producing 4 week lookahead programme, effectively communicating with Project manager of programme progress and organising meetings
with client for work progress.
Producing ITPs/ITRs for major constructional works, raising possible technical queries pre/during construction phase. Where required NCRs raised and admitted, developing WPPs/RAMs for the project on major constructional works and issuing to client, setting out works on Addiscombe Road waterproofing of bridge/abutment walls. Preparing dilapidation survey of existing bridge using 3D scanner and Leica Total station.
Recording daily site activities and effectively communicating to PM. Producing as built drawings of site works preparing for Health and Safety file, producing redline drawings for client.
Managing and supervising of works a wide range of drainage systems & infrastructural works. Pilling and Installation of Manholes, drainage, ducting and package pumps for 80, 000 litre fuel storage and associated distribution systems,
Producing 4-week lookaheads on planned site works. Recording ITPs/ITRs with respective works on site.
Using LEAN to save construction cost as well as prevent environmental pollution from site activities. Mentoring Junior engineers on
complex setting out and site activities. Producing requisitions based on drawings for procurement, managing subcontractors and delegating tasks effectively to maintain programme targets.
Raising Technical queries with site
management and liaising with designers to successfully deliver alternative solutions, recording and maintaining daily record of work progress, collating & raising NCRs and closing out where required, raising health & safety observations,
monitoring quality control and progress via BIM 360.
Replacement of two rail bridge decks in Peckham, under possession of the electrified 3rd rail and Rules. Bellenden Bridge GRIP 6-8 build only for two new decks.
Westdown Bridge GRIP4-8 design and build for two new decks and adjacent platforms. Decks were successfully demolished and replaced during a single weekend closure programme (54 and 72 hour possessions). Produced health and safety file for handover, managing and completing snagging after bridge replacement, procurement of materials related to project completion.
The Lea Bridge Road Bridge crosses two Network Rail tracks under its west span and one Network Rail access track and a
public footpath under its east span. Project involved road widening scheme with new layout of trief kerbs and introduction
of cycling lanes the proposed Waltham Forest cycling scheme. Setting out responsibilities where applicable, producing As-
built for referencing, managing and delegating tasks effectively, recording daily reports, Technical queries, (TQ), innovating
sustainable engineering solution to help with project carbon zero impact on environment.
Design and construction of new station building and platforms, with ticket office, passenger waiting room, accessible toilet, car park and accommodation for a retail outlet. Producing 4-week lookaheads on planned site works. Recording
ITPs/ITRs with respective works on site.
Producing requisitions based on drawings for procurement, managing subcontractors and delegating tasks effectively to maintain programme targets. Raising Technical queries with site
management and liaising with designers to successfully deliver alternative solutions, recording and maintaining daily
record of work progress, collating & raising NCRs and closing out where required, raising health & safety observations,
monitoring quality control, recording site diaries for management & issuing daily task briefings for subcontractors, recording ITRs, ensuring health and safety is communicated by reporting accidents and close calls, concrete testing & producing As-built drawings for designers during handover, preparing COSSH Register and risk assessments. Procurement for materials to site, issuing technical queries to designers and liaising with them on project queries, monitoring sound levels on site, preparing toolbox talks for subcontractor and Graham management.
Had immediate influence on the project by carrying out site safety checks and prevented a potential life-threatening hazard.
Used scaled drawings to effectively advise site/project manager on the quantity of materials required for
completion of third floor of Ibis Hotel.
Aided subcontractors in completion of site work, made critical notes for reports during project meeting with director on subcontractors work and client meetings.
