• Managing and overseeing the delivery of statutory audits for global clients across diverse industries, including manufacturing, tourism, construction, engineering, transportation, IT and charitable sectors
• Leading and motivating a team of Audit Seniors and Associates in the effective planning, delivery and finalisation of statutory audits to time critical deadlines
• Adopting a holistic management approach to audit engagements; fully supporting audit teams via regular audit meetings and performance reviews
• Providing advice and consultancy to clients on the enhancement of internal controls, accounting and compliance while also delivering regular audit progress updates
• Partnering with group auditors, such as Deloitte, PWC, Grant Thornton and KPMG, for audit delivery of subsidiaries
• Ensuring full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including International Standards on Auditing (ISA), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local tax laws
• Additionally responsible for overseeing branding compliance and managing business development activities
Key Achievements
• Spearheading the development of the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) and significantly growing the client base, with the SBU currently the largest in the organisation
• Creating and delivering training to six audit associates; enabling progression to senior level roles
• Proactively enhancing audit performance in terms of efficiency and effectiveness, including the incorporation of a customer-centric service quality approach and use of Caseware audit software to its highest potential
• Playing a key role as Audit Senior, with responsibility for the planning, performance and coordination of statutory audits for both SME and large-scale companies across a range of business sectors using Caseware audit software
• Undertaking accounting and financial management duties, including the completion of tax computations
