Responsibility: Planning Engineer at Utilities, Ammonia and Nitric Acid Plants. Utilities plant has 11 cells cooling tower, 27 MW Gas Turbine power plants, Demin Water Plant and five Instrument and Plant Air Compressors.
Job Scope:
- Generate Work Requests and close Work Orders related to Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Planning using ORACLE eAM
- Daily Maintenance Planning
- Material PRs and material procurement coordination
- Maintenance Budget Preparation
- Trainings and KPI
Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Planning
• Preventive Maintenance Planning:
- Generate and release PM Work Orders using ORACLE eAM PM Module.
- Arrange material issuance from Material Warehouse using ORACLE eAM PM Module.
- Arrange Man and Machine resources
- Update Work Orders (e.g. update usage of resources and operation durations)
- Issue Maintenance KPIs along with Graphical Analysis Reports
- Hold meetings with execution Engineers and Operation Engineers to discuss non-compliance
• Corrective Maintenance Daily Schedule:
- Coordinate with Operation Engineer and Execution Engineer to plan Corrective Maintenance job
- Review the Work Orders of Corrective Maintenance jobs and arrange resources
- Update Work Orders
• Material Procurement Coordination:
- Follow-up of spare parts Purchase Requisitions
- Hold coordination meetings with Procurement, Finance and Shipping departments to expedite procuement
- Arrange technical review of quotations
- Determine and allocate budget of all procurement cases
- Coordinate with Execution Engineers for inspection of new material
- Procure general consumable material
• Maintenance Budget Preparation, Monitoring and control:
- Coordinate and consolidate Maintenance budget requirements
- Prepare budget requirements of consumable material and Annual Turnarounds.
- Coordinate for budget preparation and review meetings.
- Issue budget consumption report on fortnightly basis.
TURNAROUND PLANNING:
- Prepare Work List
- Prepare level-4 schedule using Primavera P-3
- Prepare Job Packages
- Prepare Material Plan
- Arrange Material Procurement
- Prepare and resource requirement
- Arrange job review meetings
- Arrange safety orientation sessions
- Prepare job cards for all small jobs
- Calculate critical path
- Monitor TA as per schedule
- Determine float and issue look-ahead
- Highlight bottlenecks and prepare mitigation plan
- Prepare S-Curves
- Present daily progress to Management
- Arrange comodity release plan
- Close TA
- Prepare TA report
- Prepare critique
- Issue TA KPIs
Contracts Management:
- Prepare contracts work scope and award Contracts for Maintenance jobs
- Prepare Request for Quotations, arrange Bids Opening, arrange negotiation.Prepare Job Orders, arrange contractor mobilization, and arrange bills verification and payment release from Finance.
- Monitor and analyze Contractor’s progress and update master plan as per reports submitted by contractors.
- Responsible for preparation and updating the commodity release plan.
- Prepare Manpower Contracts for multiple crafts/trades.

• Repair of Primary Waste Heat Boiler at Ammonia Plant.
• Repair of beds of CO2 Stripper and Absorber Shell at Ammonia Plant.
• Hot Gas Path Inspection of “03 Stage Gas Turbine”.
• Repair of Absorption Tower beds at Nitric Acid Plant.
We did not have GPA calculation system but we had % system. I got overall 78.3% marks and secured honors degree. During my course of study, I did internship in Sargodha Textile Mills.
