 Design Management by Comparing & Checking in compliance with Saudi Electricity Company Standards and other International Standards (such as ASTM, ACI, UBC, IBC, ASCE 7) followed by Preparation of Design compatibility reports on Designer’s/ Equipment Manufacturer’s Proposals and Technical Submittals. As well as, Updating & Reporting Project Design Activities, Monitoring & Control the Designer’s / Manufacturer’s Activities, Reviews on MOM.

 Assessment of Project Technical Specifications (PTS) including Scope Work (SOW) & Tender drawings for HV (High Voltage)/EHV (Extra High Voltage)/HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) Substation Construction Projects. Design Management also includes Base design & Detail design review meetings of all projects, which includes Solar PV (Photovoltaic), BESS & other renewables.

 Hands-on experience of Land Development which includes designing Site Levels, Site Slopes, Road & Site Layouts, pavement design, Overall Equipment Layouts, ...etc.

 Ability to proactively forecast & monitor progress for Structural Design Actions that are on the critical path of Design/Construction activities & also coordinate with Client (Project Department), Contractor & Sub Contractor’s engineering disciplines during all stages of design management for all projects.

 Involvement throughout all stages of project life cycle including Pre-bid/Post-bid clarifications, & establishing proper technical delivery by carrying out Cross-discipline coordination of design information & ensuring that the design is compatible across all project disciplines. These efforts resulted in reducing the allocated project budget cost in case of two(2) projects by more than 50 %.

 Acknowledgement by FICHTNER and NEOM Urban development department in assisting them to select the most workable option of Architectural Elevation design for all Electrical Substations that were needed prior finalizing tender documents for 380kV BSP’s & 132kV PSS’s.

 Making effective Structural analysis using STAADPRO as per design, system and loading requirements. Conversant to British Standards \[BS-5950-P1/2000(Steel), BS-6399-P2 (Building Loads), ASTM E 1300-04(Load Resistance of Glass) and BS8118-P1 (Aluminum)\]; Australian Standard \[AS-1288:2006 (Glass in buildings Selection & Installation)\], GANA (Glass Association of North America), AAMA TIR-A9-1991 metal curtain wall fasteners; ASCE 7-05, ADM (Aluminum Design Manual) -2005.
 Brief involvement in Project Tender Stage, to analyze and work with our Commercial Department and provide best optimal solution to the Client based on aesthetics and economy.
 Participating in reliable level of co-ordination with the drafting department to finalize Proposal drawings, Shop drawings & As Built Drawings required at particular events of an ongoing project.

 Making effective Structural & Thermal analysis using STRAND 7 & STAADPRO as per design, system and loading requirements. Conversant to British Standards \[BS-5950-P1/2000(Steel), BS-6399-P2 (Building Loads), ASTM E 1300-04(Load Resistance of Glass) and BS8118-P1 (Aluminum)\]; also Indian Standards \[IS-800-2004(Steel), IS-875-P-1-2-3/1987 (Building Loads) and IS8147/1995 (Aluminum)\]; and also Australian Standard \[AS-1288:2006 (Glass in buildings Selection & Installation)\].
 Reporting to the commercial & technical manager .Responsible for supporting the estimation department in relation to design works prepared for tender submission as well as structural design works on ongoing projects. Furthermore having responsibility for providing value engineering and system design solutions by approving and finalizing improve and corrected Die drawings.
 Involved in different phases of projects, from conceptual design, through mock-up, cost study, detailed estimates in accordance to Consultant’s specifications. Attend project coordination meetings if required.
 Technically proficient in construction and engineering of Curtain Wall design for different types of façade systems like Semi-unitized and Unitized curtain wall, Point fixing, Canopies, Stone and Aluminum cladding, balustrades as well as an excellent knowledge in steel works.

 As Lead Engineers - Structures, our team works with other Lead Engineers’ along with Jeddah Municipality to provide comprehensive detailed design information for Tender Stage which clearly defines the contract requirements and to minimize the overall risks involved in project deliverables.
 Detail study of Design Criteria Report, project general & special specifications, Geotechnical Report…etc. Also finalizing required Design Calculations, Detailed design/shop drawings, Bill of Quantities (BoQ)… etc.
 Examine different proposals made by other Lead Engineers’ and discuss methods to improve and implement the same. Any discrepancies found between design drawings and actual site conditions then the same to be highlighted to other Lead Engineers’ and Contractor (if required).
 To ensure that the design drawings to comply with all relevant and applicable design standards for Kingdom Saudi Arabia (K.S.A) such as AASHTO \[Geometric Design of Highways and Streets or Green Book\], AASHTO (L.F.D/L.R.F.D), MOT (Ministry of Transportation), ASTM, ACI, MOMRA (Ministry of Municipal & Rural affairs), UBC, IBC, etc. and to highlight the departure from standards (if any) to other Lead Engineers’.
 Providing Technical assistance to the projects under construction by coordinating with departments such as Bridges & Tunnels, Facilities, Hydraulics, etc.
 Ensuring that existing Utility Management/Diversion works to be carried out before finalizing of project layout for the Interchange under design study.
 Worked on micro-piling system to strengthen the existing Bridge foundations, construction details of free-pile and total-pile length and sizes along with bentonite piles for underpass structures.

 Making Conceptual Proposal & Shop Drawings as per Architect/Consultant Requirements, which includes Curtain wall (Stick & Unitized System), Doors and Windows, Louvers (Sand-trap & Acoustic), Skylights, Aluminum Space frames, Steel Canopies, Cladding (Composite, Perforated & Aluminum Sheets) with their supporting system, along with checking and reviewing the Structural Determinacy of the above said sub-structures.
 Providing necessary amendments/modifications in Shop Drawings as per onsite construction modifications, and maintaining a proper coordination with Project Management Team (PMT), Team Leader & Design Manager.
 Preparation of Fabrication Drawings (Cutting List) for Mockups and Final Installations at site for generating Time Bound results.
 Provisional usage of 3-Dimensional Drawings with 2-Dimensional Drawings in Shop & Fabrication Drawings if required as per on site situation or as per requirements from Architect/Consultant.
 Most notable work constitutes design and fabrication of NS03 and NS06 areas of Dubai Mall that houses the famous Entertainment Roof, Water Front Atrium and Oasis.

 Structural analysis for Space Frames & Aircraft Hangers with solid & hollow node system.
 Structural analysis for various Steel Single member & Truss Structures having 10 mm multiwall Polycarbonate sheets/A.C.P along with silicon sealants/Metacolour sheets used as cover roofing.
 Structural analysis for Domes (Circular & Elliptical), Glass Pyramid, Atrium Skylight, etc. using circular pipes and Tubular S.H.S. & R.H.S sections; and required steel framing for external glazing and signboards in Residential, Malls & Commercial complexes.

 Effective coordination with Architect/Client for incorporating Drawing and/or on site modifications in the Design and Calculation Analysis.
 Providing Technical assistance for interpreting the final depths of foundation on site as per local environment and Geotechnical recommendations. Also recommending earthworks and ground improvement techniques if required based on soil type.
 Structural Analysis & design calculations for Concrete & Steel structures, using Indian Standard as basis for calculating Dead Loads (DL), Live Loads (LL), Wind Loads (WL) and Earthquake Loads (EL) having appropriate factor of safety (F.O.S) in loads and load combinations analyzed using STAAD. Pro 2004 as design software.
 Provision for Detailing for Bar Bending Schedule for Beams, Columns, Slabs, Footing (Raft/Isolated/pedestal) and Pile Foundations in cooperation with Structural Draughtsman.
 Designing of Steel secondary structures like Terrace & Entrance Canopy, Retroactive Truss, Box Girder Roof Trusses and Vaulted Structures for main concrete structures.
 Designing of Steel Main structures using I-Sections, C-Sections, Square & Rectangular Steel-Box Stanchions.
