The Abwa’h Foundation Medical & Diagnostic Center (AFM&DC) is a state of the art welfare organization founded in October 2005. The inspiration came after watching people with poor living standards, high disease prevalence due to unhygienic conditions, no preventive measures and absolutely no awareness about their health and disease. The organization is providing free of cost medical & diagnostic facilities at four different locations in Faisalabad District serving population of more than 2 million. The organizational objectives are to provide rural communities, an easy access to primary care in respectable manners without any socio-economic discrimination. And to educate people about their health for a healthy life style which will ultimately take off some burden from the overloaded tertiary care hospitals.
• Participate in administrative decision making, approve policies and procedures.
• Organize and coordinate with clinical and administrative staff.
• Ensure that quality care services are delivered in timely and respectable manners.
• Articulate organizational mission to the community.
• Monitor daily patients’ report and medical expense record.
• Help HR in staffing.
Allied Hospital is a teaching hospital attached to Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad. The hospital has 1150 beds in different wards. Most of the clinical teachings of the students are done here. The hospital is fully equipped with the latest medical equipment. It has a 24 hours emergency department where patient from the whole district are brought while the outdoor patient department works from 8 AM to 2 PM.
• Treat patients who were brought to the ER in life threatening conditions and refer them to appropriate medical department.
• Obtain patients’ medical history and maintain their medical record while working on medical floor.
• Perform alternative duties in outdoor patient department
I have attended Penn State University, PA, United States, for Master in Health Policy Administration. It is a competency-based program, focused on equipping students with the knowledge and capabilities they’ll need to lead organizations dedicated to improving health and health care. The graduates from Penn State make a difference everyday in premier health care organizations all over the world.
Achieving a Doctor of Medicine degree from Kursk State Medical University is a great milestone in my career. Along my academic studies I was able to observe and learn about one of the diverse healthcare industry.
