• Conduct surveys to ascertain the locations of natural features and man-made
structures on the Earths surface, underground, and underwater.

• Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations
conducted at survey sites
• Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation,
and dimensions of land or land features.
• Prepare or supervise the preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records,
and documents related to surveys.
• Compare survey computations with applicable standards to determine the
adequacy of data.
• Use equipment and tools to accurately measure land features (e.g. longitudes,
latitudes)
• Build maps, sketches, and charts
• Collaborate with engineers and architects on several projects.
• Determine the terrains heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and
other features.
