Worked as a Senior Technical Lead for US’s leading company to re-architect their portal. The job involved to understand their existing portal, re structuring, migration of data and taxonomies into the new portal. Applied branding for the site and multilingual support for various languages. Created custom page layout, implemented advance search with various refiners. Implementation of biography using My Site.

Role & Responsibility:
Responsible for understanding business requirements and converting the same in to functional, technical specifications. Breaking the requirement into tasks and sub tasks and estimating the same. Building the new portal with existing functionality with added and improved search capabilities. Adding new functionalities.

Project : Intraweb Workflows

Description :

Involved in this project to develop various custom workflows like Audit tracking process, Travel request, Purchase requests and SharePoint online project tracking system.

When an employee provides input for specific project and submit it then workflow triggers. It goes to various stages before it completes. It notifies the participants through mail about its approval or rejection.

• Analysis and planning for the business portal and business process workflows
• Development of HTML mock up for screen design
• Implementation of customized workflow solution to automate the process.

Project : Collaboration Site Provisioning

Description :

The collaboration site provisioning system is a project to automate the provisioning of SharePoint Collaboration sites. Security and access to each site is strictly controlled via AD (Active directory group)

When different department access this site and provide their input for specific site creation then it decide based on input to create the site collection location on different web application hosted. A customized workflow initiates automatically when request comes from any department which takes care of approval from specific department and creating this site based on customized site definition. It notifies the administrator through mail about its success or failure. Also custom errors are logged for further investigation.

Project : Intraweb

Description :

Intraweb is an intranet portal which has been migrated from an existing Moss 2007 environment. It is content management system where all the employees stores and share the documents. It consists around 25 site collection for different departments and it is further divided to many sub sites on each site collection. Various functionality has been added using the different web parts. Different workflow has been implemented to improve their business such as IT Clearance form workflow, HR Process workflow etc. InfoPath form has been used to design the form which consists of various sections for different department. Each department can see their own section alone. They fill the information required and submit it. Excellent branding and site customization has been applied.

Role & Responsibility:
• Migrating from Moss 2007 to SP 2010
• Creation of different site collection, email configuration, integration to AD, security management etc.

Project : Underwriter Portal

Description :
This application is a share point portal where information from various systems are presented together in a consolidated view. These independent web parts communicate via WCF services to fetch data from various data sources. This would enable the underwriters to have a consolidated view of the various data elements adhering to only their areas of interest like 'Risk listing', 'Risk Reviews', Recently viewed, Submission, document management, action, alert etc. It also facilitates the search functionality for the risk including advanced wildcard search where user can see the risk along with its current status, entire details and its entire history if any.

The requirement was to design and develop an Intranet Portal that helped in improving employee involvement with Organization and depicts the goals set by workflow process. Key components of the system include Leadership view, Awards & Recognition; My Applications. It was integrated with applications like Leave Management System, Domestic Travel, Foreign Travel and Gate pass Security.
Responsibilities: Analyzing the requirements, Client interaction, Design, Coding, Bug Fixing, Testing and Deployment.

Project : Elite Reporting Solution
Duration : 6 months

Description :
Elite is major IT and organizational change program that the Firm is undertaking and its goal of making significant improvements to the Firm ability to more effectively deliver services to the client. Elite Reporting follows a weekly schedule with the program producing the reports for the four different service lines.

The implementation is made up of two parts
• Data Import from various sources to the reporting database with the help of SSIS.
• Elite Reporting Application which generates the service line reports
The first part involves transferring data from several databases into a reporting database that reports can subsequently be generated from. The second part of the implementation involves generating reports from the excel template and populating Excel spreadsheets using data retrieved from the reporting database and saving these reports to shared directory where the intended users can access it.

Project : IPCAS

Description :

It is a tool designed to capture the information in order to give investment and pension plans related suggestions. It gathers the information regarding the client details according to the client type (e.g. Corporate, Trust, Individual and Joint etc) and it also collects the information regarding their personal details, employment details, income, expenditure assets, pensions, protection needs, risk tolerance etc.
The Advisory/Secondary support individuals prepares the data, and they feed that information into the system for further processing, in the similar fashion the system stores and process the data for each client, and it helps the Advisor/Second support folks to gives the suitable advice to the client according to their needs/requirements.

This application has been written in ASP.NET 2.0 using C# language, MS SQL Reporting Services has been used for creating reports. Development has been done using test driven approach, and the NUnit has been used for the same.

About application architecture, the application is design on N-Tyre architecture; it makes use of many design patters such as Observer, Factory Method etc. Proper coding standards/conventions and naming conventions have been followed, the application has been written as per its designed architecture without many deviations.

Description: This is a calculation-intensive application. The target users of this application are the Housing Associations/ Registered Social Landlords/Housing Groups. These are the bodies that take up social housing projects of nature like (Rehabilitation, Refurbishing, and Sale) . Before taking up the project, these organizations have to assess the financial viability of the project before bidding for it to the Housing Corporation. This is achieved through short term and long term gains of the project. This application has Accounts as part of it, which deals with the financial process. The appraisal stage of the project evaluates the project before its inception where management phase looks after the cash flow, profit and loss etc on a fairly long term basis.
This is has a smart client architecture with a centralized database server (SQL Server 2000) and features zero touch deployment. The client application can be launched from a launcher program that downloads all the required components from the centralized server and kick starts the application.
Role: • Development of the Presentation layer and the business layer using C#.

• Used N-Unit framework to write unit tests for the business objects.
• Used Memory profiler to investigate memory leaks as part of the process to speed up the application and improve overall performance.

Project: Q-CMS (Quantum-Contribution Management System)

Description: Q-CMS product is a unique "Contribution Management System", designed for all brackets of transportation, from Liner Operators to forwarding companies. Using state-of-the-art technology, the Q-CMS is web based application. The Q-CMS may be delivered as a stand-alone application, plugged-in to the user's core-operating system, or used as a seamless component of Quantum's Q-ILS suite of products for Liner Shipping Operators. The Q-CMS has the following key modules: Setup and Admin, Security, Cost Management, Contribution Management, Budget & Business Planning, Reports & Analytics. For the first time, the shipping manager is able to project his costs prior activity, and provide for results monthly costs within 0.5 % just as the month closes.Within the Cost Manager, the Q-CMS is able to present the user a broad range of operating variables, from a simple unit cost between locations (port-pairs), but also the complete projected variables for a budget or business plan. When interfaced with the documentation system, the Q-CMS is able to provide costs for the ports exports, a vessels entire load-list, a port's variable in a period, costs basis the type of operation etc. The list is long and powerful.

This product too will be a first in its class, building on a MVC architecture their needs for Planning, Chartering, Vessel deployment, Scheduling & management, Booking, Documentation, Order-to-cash, Requisition-to-payment, Treasury management, Results, reports, client interface on web etc. Apart from fulfilling all operational and financial requirements of a typical system, Quantum's approach is to provide a bouquet of value-adding features that enables proactive management controls, cost management, efficiency improvements and business opportunity analysis.
