Working on integrating newer technologies into the power grid with a special focus in
sustaibale energy and power quality.
Projects (Masdar)-
* Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) based fault current limiter- Developed an innoative aproach
to limiting fault currents in microgrids by using DVR series transformer impedance .
* Solid State Transformer (SST) based future distribution system- Research and development of
SST models incorporating features like renewable power integration, fault current
limiting and power quality improvement.
* Solid State Transformer (SST) based grid integration solution for wind energy systems-
Developed an SST based grid integration mechanism for wind energy conversion systems
that include features like grid code compliance and fault ride through.
* Impact assessment of Solid State Transformer (SST) in distribution network- Assessed the
impact of SST on network losses and voltages and made recommendations for installation.
Projects (MIT
Incharge (Electrical) for mineral processing plants at Bailadila and Bellary iron ore mines.
Responsibilities include-
* Operational incharge for production leading a team of technicians ensuring minimal
breakdown time while meeting production targets
* Implementing regular maintenance shedules for electrical equipment including LT, HT
motors and safety features like pull chords
* Experience in loading materials into freight trains using specialized equipment using specialized equipment and maintenance of rail track based reclaimers, stackers and loaders (DC traction motors)
* Special incharge of all protection relays for motors ensuring proper rating and regular
maintenance of the same
* Supervising control room operations in the plant
* Leading a special team for scheduled shutdown maintenance of all major equipment like
HT motors of upto 500 kW rating
* Experience in trouble shooting PLC system failures for plant operations including
identifying faults and rectifying them using electrical and control circuit drawings
* Well versed with various safety devices like Pull Chords, Under-Speed & Over-Speed
Masters in Electrical Power Engineering with a special focus on sustainable energy
,Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from one of the top 15 institutes in India
