Designation: Department Manager-Construction

Dolmen Mall Lahore will be Pakistan’s next Shopping Destination that will offer an unprecedented mix of international and local brands, world-class dining, food court, entertainment, and leisure attraction. The state-of-the-art shopping mall designed by Architects Chapman Taylor will represent the next generation of shopping malls in Pakistan. The Project is spread over an area of 2.1 million sq.ft. across 3 levels, with a leasable Area of 800, 000 sq.ft. comprising of more than 290 retail, food and entertainment outlets. The Mall has 2 levels of basement car parking for more than 2, 000 vehicles. The Project is expected to be completed and operational by Q2 2023 - Q3 2023.

PROJECT: THE INDUS HOSPITAL KARACHI
New High-rise Development of 1300 Beds

The Indus Hospital, Korangi Campus is spread over 20 acres of land and located in the densely populated Korangi area. TIH is now expanding and will become a state-of-the-art multifaceted, tertiary care teaching hospital, a benchmark in Pakistan’s healthcare sector in terms of its infrastructure, capacity and service delivery systems. Construction work on all five (5) components of phase 1 has been triggered comprising of Hospital Building -1, Hospital Building -2, University Building and Prayer space except for Energy center (cum multi-level parking facility);

RESPONSIBILITIES (INITIAL PHASE OF PROJECT)

 Initialization of Objectives or Initiation Phase.
 Render expertise in overseeing capital projects to ensure quality execution within agreed time frame and cost while following HSE standards.
 Play a key role in designing and overseeing state of art high-rise, corporate head office of almost 260, 000 square feet area and other developments projects.
 Design and implement strategies to accomplish objectives as well as deliver presentation to leadership about project concept, strategy, and shortlisted resources.
 Inspect resources, screening and recommendation, conduct corporate meetings with shortlisted resources to examine and discuss proposals, feedbacks, and closure.
 Stage Gate Analysis.

HIGH END RESIDENTIAL PALACES:
Combine constructed area of Facility is more than 160, 000 sft while total green area is 56 Acres.

ARABTECH - CONSTRUCTION LLC

PROJECT: ARAMCO “EXPAND DHAHRAN RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY
PROJECT, CONSTRUCTION OF 380 LUXURY VILLAS, DAHRAN, KSA” .

PROJECT COST: I.04 Billion (SAR)
Designation: Construction Manager/Senior Project Engineer.

This is contract from Saudi Aramco to build 380 villas in Al Dhahran, eastern Saudi Arabia, where the national oil company’s staff compound is located. This is a 28 months to building a total of 166, 200 square meters of new homes on a 454, 500 sq meters plot.


PROJECT: SANG “CONSTRUCTION OF SAUDI NATIONAL GUARDS
HOUSING SCHEME AL HASA, SAUDI ARABIA” (5400 VILLAS)

PROJECT COST: 6 Billion (SAR)
Designation: Construction Manager

This is a very huge Housing & Infra Structure Project comprises of 5000 plus Villas along with all allied facilities phases. I am deployed in Major Zone “Productivity with Defined Quality measures” is the special task assigned to me. I have to manage/coordinate with Consultant, all sub contractors, engineering disciplines & higher management to assure high-speed progress on an agreed schedule with defined quality parameters. Project had a great importance for Arabtec Holding.

PROJECT: KAIA “ NEW KING ABDUL AZIZ INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
JEDDAH, SAUDI ARABIA”

Designation: Senior Project Engineer (PTB )

This is very complex Engineering & heavy construction project. This Mega project has been directly monitored by highest level of “Atkins”, “Arup”, “Civil Aviation”, ”BinLadin” & “Dar Ul Handasah” along with Royal Saudi Officials. The project comprises of various heavy areas/ construction phases. I am deployed in Construction of main “PTB” Passenger Terminal Building. “Productivity with Defined Quality measures” is the special task assigned to me. I have to manage/coordinate with all engineering disciplines to assure high-speed progress on an agreed schedule with defined quality parameters. Project had a great importance for Arabtec Holding.

RESPONSIBILITIES

RICC “MC-DONALDS - RIYADH KSA

PROJECT: MC-DONALDS, FITOUTS & RESTAURANTS.

Riyadh International Catering Corporation (RICC) was established in year 1992 after being awarded the McDonald’s franchising rights for the Central, Eastern and Northern regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To date RICC owns and operates 73 restaurants within its assigned territories with a workforce of more than 1, 897 employees.

Designation: Manager Constructions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Monitoring the activities of McDonald’s - RICC’s Construction function to support RICC in achieving its short and long term strategic goals.

 Monitor, execute and ensure the completion of construction projects of stores and corporate offices as per the desired specifications and prepare snag list for previously handed over sites
Conduct and ensure testing of facilities after the timely completion of construction work are within budget.

 Monitor and control the interior, exterior and equipment installation process by coordinating the efforts of others.

 Prepare, schedule and conduct store closings, audit and report results.

 Implement and communicate corporate standards to suppliers and contractors and review regularly to ensure compliance.

 Coordinate and follow-up with the consultants on the preparation project drawings.

 Evaluate, assess and provide feedback on the performance of the contractors, suppliers and service agents against the agreed upon criteria.

 Assist the Divisional Head and Architect in estimating the total costs of construction and re-imaging.

 Carry-out cost analysis and maintain a comprehensive cost data bank for all assigned construction projects which is readily available to all departmental team members

I act as Engineer's representative. I am responsible for coordination execution & management of project from Consulting end. I have to safeguard legal/ Contractual interests of all agencies. I have to convince client & Contractors regarding all concern matters in behalf of NESPAK. Concern matters i.e. Technical, Fatigues, Execution and Financial.

BULK WATER RESERVOIR AT CHAKRA GOTH.


DESIGNATION :Planning Engineer, Project Engineer

That was very major project for DHA as most of the future projects will have to be supplied water by that reservoir. Structure of project is very typical from other reservoirs like raft foundation, retaining walls, column with capital & flat slab. Soil condition of site became very worst due to the surrounding structures & ground water. Special techniques were taken in account to control the conditions.

 Analyzing the project duration & preparation of construction schedules.
 Estimation of activities, controlling and costing.
 Defining the technical aspects to the sub-contractor.
 Setting quality control parameters as per requirement of specification.

Indus Motors company providing the Toyota & Coure Motor Cars in Pakistan with the Japanese collaboration. In Construction of each depart there were following phases.

PROJECT DETAILS/ PHASES

RCC PHASES:

This phase involved foundations, RCC Columns & Beams.

STEEL STRUCTURE PHASE:

In that phase steel trusses and their support structure were erected & fabricated. Fixed and hinged supports were used.

ROOFING WORKS:

In that Phase aluminum roofing was installed on trusses, as well as drainage systems were installed by means of Eave & Valley Gutter.

FLOORING WORKS:

Heavy flooring is provided by means of “3/8’’ dia steel mash and providing hardonate.
