Worked as a Data Center Operation in KAUST (King Abdullah University Of Science And Technology) KSA since OCT-2009 to Feb 2012

Designation: Data Center Engineer -Computing, IT Infrastructure.
 Monitoring Super Computer and Business and Scientific Computing Data Centers located in Different Buildings.
 As monitoring the PDU's in the Data Centre and the air handlers in the Data Centre and escalating any problems or alarms.

 Coordinating with IBM technical team for IT equipment Installation

 Installing and configuring software like Symantec and McAfee.
 Maintaining of Activity and Work Permit Logs.
 Conducting daily physical checkup of Data Center Environment and prepare reports.
 Coordinating with internal KAUST It for Hardware and Application Installations and Maintenance.



 Coordinating with Vendors and contractors for Data Center Infrastructure installation and maintenance.
 Maintaining a database to track all the servers and the contracts to make sure all the hardware present in the data center is in warranty

 Attending conference calls with the IT Infrastructure team every week to discuss the activities performed and preparing action plans for the next month
Generating reports related to the Datacenter activities for every quarter

 Managing the entire Business Datacenter of the university which includes the server farm with an occupied capacity of 450 physical servers
 Installing blade servers and troubleshooting any hardware or operating system related issues
 Check server event logs on a daily basis for critical servers
 To support daily operations of the datacenter and help application team to resolve technical issues
 Managing 3 Datacenters which has 450 physical servers and the second biggest Datacenter in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
