NRL is engaged in the manufacturing, production and sale of large range of petroleum products. The refinery complex of the Company comprises of three refineries, consisting of two lube refineries and one fuel refinery.
I am associated as an "Accountant" in Treasury, reporting directly to Secretary Funds & Board of Trustees. In my association with NRL, I have come closer to the investment universe in Pakistan enhancing my abilities to perform in the investment market while perusing my CFA® Charter.
My responsibilities include, yet are not limited to:
ͻ Managing investment portfolio of all (06) employee benefits funds.
ͻ Preparing reports for review of trustees which contains analysis of future expectations of existing investments & available approved avenues, proposing investments and/or divestments as appropriate.
ͻ Supervising the operations of the funds.
ͻ Preparing Periodic Financial Statements of two funds.
ͻ Co-ordination with the funds' auditors as regard to audit of the financial statements.
ͻ Reviewing and recommending policy changes to competent authority regarding Payroll processes.
. It offers complete hardware, software & communications solutions combined with consultancy and maintenance services.
In my association with SCL, I rose to the position of "Manager Finance", directly reporting to CEO and the Chairman. I was responsible for all the facets of finance division from initial progression through the conclusion of annual reports. My experience with the Company enabled me to develop analytical skills and entity wide understanding of the competitive and regulatory environments.
My key responsibilities included the following:
ͻ Developing reports for the management summarizing the business financial position in areas of income, expenses, capital usage, cash flows and co-ordinate the position of strategic plans, budgets and financial forecast.
ͻ Monitoring Budgets, reporting variances, along with recommendations for favorable variance wherever it fell in the ambit of finance.
ͻ Finalization of periodic financial statements, their analysis and investigation of significant ratios and trends to assess performance.
ͻ Developing Customer Analysis Reports.
ͻ Ensuring timely filings of periodic returns, related with company's operations, with FBR.
ͻ Ensuring effective Cash flow management.
ͻ Correspondence with Company's banks as regards to management of acquired & available funded and non-funded facilities.
ͻ Developing and managing the finance team.
