Directs the activities of the assigned personnel involved in the operation/maintenance of various utilities equipment related to electrical power plant.
• Operates and ensures the operation of various power utilities equipment in the central power plant is carried out safely as per the standard instructions, such as gas turbine, generator, transformers, high voltage alternators, …etc.
• Takes initiatives during emergency situations, as failure will lead to blackout and process plant shutdown.
• Operations on PC7 and PMS in accordance with established SOPs and job safety standards.
• Directs and guides contracted maintenance personnel when carrying out work in the Power Platform or commissioning the Plant after major overhaul and installation of new equipment.
• Daily contacts with Electrical Supervisor, Platform Supervisors, CCR Supervisors and Electrical, Mechanical and Instrument Maintenance personnel to discuss problems and requirements related to Electrical, Mechanical, and Instrument and Utilities equipment.
• Maintains accuracy of shift operating logs, records, time sheets, work orders and other administrative documents related to the power plant.
• Plant switching and tagging of equipment in accordance with approved procedures and prudent operations and maintenance practices under the direction of Management when assigned.
• Investigated plant problems, incidents, accidents, and unusual events, and provides analyses, recommendations, reports, and appropriate follow-up plans.
• Reads and records gauges and meters. Performs routine operational test and adjustments on all power plant systems and components, as required.
• Develops, assists, and revises operations and maintenance related procedures.
• Routine preventive and predictive maintenance on all systems and equipment; supports corrective maintenance efforts on selected equipment when properly trained or supervised.
