Within deligated authority, The Security Officer in the university is responsible for the following core functions and duties.
Coordinate and manage day to day sercurity and safety operations.
overseas coordination, monitoring and evaluation of programms, operations and other activities related to security and safety at the university premises.
Analysis of the security and safety needs.
Ensure that security cell is properly and efficiently supervised, equiped, staffed and adequately trained to maintain operational rediness.
Due Welfare of 190 security and safety staff.
Maintain good liaision with District management and Higher echelon of the ICT Police.
Plan and implement security of incoming foreign delegations.
All other tasks assigned by the Vice Chancellor.

To implement preventive maintenance plans as per schedule.
Identification of fire hazards.
To assist into investigations of Air, ground and fire Occurrances.
To conduct weekly training programs and fire drill for fire team.
To carry out random inspection of Fire equipment.
Updating of fire equipment maintenance files (daily state).
Arrange monthly safety meetings. Ensure compliance of “one minute safety talks” at every leval on each section /Squadron
To keep fire and rescue facilities serviceable.

To provide security coverage to pakistani high level delegations.
Security of staff and diplomats.
Security of property of mission.
Responsible for secrutiny of applications through interviews and vetting of information.
Responsible for smooth functioning of Visa affairs.
Ensure security and protection of pakistan Embassy.

To provide Counter Intelligence covergage against enemy course of action
Collection of information of National interes.
Protective Surveillance of Diplomates and VIPs.
Laision with diiffernt organizations for smooth functioning of admiinstrative job of setup
Collection of strategic informations of National interest
To provide counter Intelligence coverage to Defence personnal.
Verification / Grd Checks / Interrogation / Investigations
All type of administrative tasks.
To provide security coverage to VIPs and visiting delegates.
To provide close protection to delegation while travelling.
