Coordinate with category management teams to develop thorough market and competitive analysis through insight on new product development priorities and markets.
Consult in supplier negotiations leveraging program and product market intelligence, forecasts etc. Partner with category sourcing to ensure favorable sourcing agreements to support both NPI program and serial production.
Develop and maintain close working relationships with cross functional business partners to ensure that business requirements are understood and translated into effective material category strategies.
Coordinate with program and business leadership to develop metrics and ensure that objectives are measured and achieved.
Participate in sourcing category long-range planning processes and the establishment of program supportive annual category objectives and strategies.
Gain thorough understanding of business(es) product and technology roadmaps and proactively work with suppliers and commodity leaders to ensure the suppliers’ capability and technology roadmaps and investments are well aligned to future needs.
Ensure that category sourcing strategies are followed by new product development teams which includes analysis and review of customer requirements, product requirements, quality requirements, market conditions, supplier capabilities, the approved supplier list and category strategic plans.
Facilitate appropriate stakeholder engagement and consensus on critical supplier selections.
Coordinate resources for focused supplier lean initiatives, design for manufacturing and risk management related to critical programs.
Addition support as supply planning:
Monitor orders, stock status, and MRP.
Analyze internal impact (e.g., line scheduling, procurement, logistics, shipping, ) of customer scheduling.
Performs finite scheduling of work orders in consideration of key constraints.
Maximize operational efficiency, quality, and reliability through optimal scheduling of production assets.
