Staff Engineer Operations (nitric acid / CAN (calcium ammonium nitrate) (Erection and Commissioning).
My assignments at Fatima Fertilizer over the period.
• Successful commissioning of plant and sustained operation afterwards.
• Coordinate with maintenance team and assist them for technical issues during construction phase.
• Communicate with vendors for purchasing and evaluation of new equipments.
• Install clean development mechanism for N2O abatement.
• Coordinate with instrument team for installation of DCS system.
• Develop operating and commissioning and pre-commissioning procedures
• Successful commissioning of nitric acid plant.
• Prepare hiring plan for staff.
• Identify fire and gas detection system and provide complete methodology for fire fighting and emergency escape.
Production Engineer, June 2006 -Dec2007
As production engineer my responsibilities includes
• Daily production target of quality natural gas.
• Managing plant operation and well sites.
• Managing turnarounds.
• Managing Shift team.
• Handling plant emergencies and tackling difficult plant situations.
• Implementing SRCM system for plant reliability.
• Issuance of work permits, while adhering with Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) Procedures of company.
Shift Manager, 2000 - 2006
As shift manager my responsibilities included
• Responsible for delivering the daily shift target for production while adhering to stringent quality specifications and the continuously challenging efficiency targets.
• Managing a shift team comprising of DCS boardmen, bagging supervisor, and operators.
• Handling of plant emergencies and operational upsets.
• On going monitoring of the plant parameters using DCS and SETCIM (MIS).
• Issuance of work permits, and ensuring that all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) Procedure of company and local regulations are complied with during operations, daily maintenance, and annual turnarounds at the plant.
• Maintaining the ISO related documentation system for the purification plant.
• Development of commissioning procedure for new equipment installations and was responsible commissioning the new rotary steam dryer installed in year 2002.
• Training of operators and apprentice staff.
Assisting the plant managers in developing reports and presentations.
