Working as I&E Supervisor at Petrochemical Conversion Plant in Maintenance Department with the following major responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining plant I&E equipment and systems and reporting directly to plant maintenance department head.
Supervise and lead I&E maintenance team with a head count of 15 including 01 Electrical Maintenance Engineer, 02 I&C Engineers and
12 I&E technicians.
Responsible for overall maintenance of plant wide Electrical equipment and system including HV/MV and LV systems i.e. 115KV GIS, 34.5KV GIS, 4.16KV and 480 V Switchgears, 480 V MCCs and VFD panels, MV and LV Capacitor Banks (PF correction systems),
115KV/34.5KV/4.16KV/480 Volts Oil Filled Power Transformers, GUTOR UPS systems, Emergency Generator and ATS system, Electric Power Management Systems, Battery Banks, DC Battery
Charger System, Battery Monitoring System, MV and LV induction motors, Cathodic Protection Systems, Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting Systems (Gas Based Suppression systems and Deluge Systems),
Access Control Systems, Public Alarm and addressing System etc. Coordinating and supervision of third party maintenance and reliability services for I&E equipment i.e. Power Transformers Testing like Oil analysis, Excitation testing, Ratio Test, functional tests, tan-delta test,
SFRA test etc., Protection relays calibration and testing, Testing of Bus ducts, switchgears, MV contactors like contact resistance test, megger test, hipot test, timing test, primary and secondary current injection tests etc..
Responsible for overall maintenance of plant wide Instrumentation and Control System including Rosemount DP Level and Pressure Transmitters, Coriolis Flow Transmitters, Ohmart Vega nuclear level gauges and transmitters, Fisher control valves and DVCs. Good Knowhow of Allen Bradly and DeltaV DCS based automation systems as well as communication protocols such as Fieldbus, HART,
Profibus, Modbus, TCP/IP, OPC etc.
Sponsor the development and implementation of the Instrument & Electrical (I&E) Group policies, procedures and plans to achieve the company’s safety, reliability and production goals.
Work in coordination with Maintenance Planner and Operations group to carry out timely Preventive and necessary Corrective maintenance work on all plant wide I&E equipment and systems.
Identify and procure critical I&E operating spares and tools.
Identify and administer required training programs for I&E group members.
Support the preparation of maintenance department manpower plans, expense budgets, and capital budgets during normal operations and
turn around.
Coordinate with government owned utility companies for maintenance and billing purpose.
Perform I&E group performance appraisals and maintain job descriptions to clarify job roles and responsibilities for I&E team members.
Ensure critical I&E group policies, practices and procedures are documented and maintained in accordance with the plant Operational
Excellence System Standards and Specifications.
Represent I&E group in Hazard Analysis and design review meetings for plant improvement MoC projects and participation in MC and PSSR Walk Downs for these projects.
Handle the licensing and maintenance of nuclear level gauges as Lead Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) for my plant.
- Design PLC based automation and SCADA solutions for commercial, industrial and manufacturing industries.
- Design of control panel drawings, PLC IO drawings, AC/DC drawings and SCADA system interconnectivity drawings.
- Preparation of Project Signal List based on PID and Process Flow Charts.
- Supervision of assembly and installation of control panels.
- Supervision of field wiring interface to PLC control panels and laying and termination communication cables i.e. modbus, profibus, ethernet and Fiber Optics cable etc.
- Programming of PLC controllers based on project system functional descriptions.
- Generation and Dynamization of HMI graphics and process tags
- I/O Testing and loop checks at site.
- Execution of site activities i.e. testing and commissioning of automation systems, site coordination and project reporting to the project manager
- Provide technical support to junior automation engineers and technicians.
- Troubleshooting of control systems for manufacturing and power industries.
