Fiinu is a fintech start-up currently applying for its full UK banking license. The ambition is to become a blockchain friendly bank providing financial services to people and small businesses who feel excluded or underserved by the existing financial service sector. I lead and oversee every aspect of the IT workstream.
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
• Represented Fiinu from the technical perspective in the bank’s licensing meetings with Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
• Built and successfully executed the Fiinus Initial Coin Offering (ICO), including automated investor onboarding (KYC/AML validation) and blockchain integrations.
The Group provided various services and expertise to clients with diverse requirements across multiple financial sectors including Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Precious Metals, Options, Equities, Asset Management, Investment Services, Credit and Payment Services.
As a founding executive management team member of project Mateli, I was responsible for executing the company’s vision to build a new retail bank for the UK market through technology.
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
• Successfully established Mateli’s IT department (70+ people, based in Istanbul and London)
• Built ground up seven key IT sub-departments: Product Development, Software Development, Delivery Channels, Quality Assurance, System Administration, Data Warehouse and Network Security Monitoring.
• Lead development of full retail banking software platform from zero to go-live in 9 months.
• Created and optimised company Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity processes.
• ISO27001 implementations, PCI DSS accreditation.
Fits.me delivers fit-centric solutions that address the biggest challenges facing online apparel retailers and brands. Clients include: Hugo Boss, Austin Reed, QVC, Alexandra, T.M. Lewin, Thomas Pink, Pretty Green, Michaela Jedinak and many others.

MYJAR is an innovative financial services company that provides flexible consumer loans for the UK market.
My career at Myjar Ltd was one of constant change as I moved fluidly from project to project. A fast learner who adapts quickly, I was tapped to lead teams of diverse individuals, manage complex platforms, and work in cross-functional environments.
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
• In 2009, I executed the development of a new financial platform called ‘Morpheus’ as the CTO.
• Successfully automated 100% of our new customer acquisition process
• I supervised the development and maintenance of the company’s information systems architecture, monitoring its capacity and performance level.
• Achieved PCI compliance.
In 2011 to 2013, my responsibilities increased when I was appointed as the COO
• I successfully managed the two largest departments: customer support (40 people) and IT (12 people).

I worked as a PHP and MySQL software developer. Clients included the Estonian Ministry of Agriculture, the Financial Supervision Authority, and the largest weight loss website in Finland, http://kiloklubi.fi/.
Developer, INT2000 OY 2005 - 2007
Int2000 is the largest domain vendor and virtual hosting provider in Finland. I worked as a PHP and MySQL developer, through which I built domain-sales platforms and virtual hosting management tools to work alongside a comprehensive CRM platform.
Developer, Infinit Solutions Ltd 2002 - 2005
As a PHP and MySQL developer, I led the development of a unique CMS platform involving various modules and functions, including domain management, user access and group access management, a gallery, a news module, an online e-shop, a products module, and a custom design module. This CMS is still used in the management of hundreds of websites built by the company (http://www.infinit.ee/?portfolio).
I worked as an accountant for a year after finishing university. I managed day-to-day bookkeeping and tax reports for one non-profit organisation and two companies in the field of technology engineering. I gained valuable expertise in how to create and understand financial reports. Understanding where the numbers come from proved valuable in all my subsequent ventures.
