Capital Budgeting:
Involve in the preparation of yearly budgets, forecasting sales trends, cost structures
Track metrics and benchmarks to adjust strategies during the year based on political, social, demographic changes in the country (Re-forecasting budgets due to Covid)
DIMO started business in Myanmar -Burma by setting up a vehicle repair workshop in 2018 and acquiring a vehicle sales dealership in 2019 where I handled the calculation of initial investment, investment appraisal & future business forecast
Encourage collaboration between budget management teams and executive leadership to develop financial plans to support company strategic initiatives, identify opportunities to improve profitability, to measure goal achievement and determine areas of improvement
Handle the analysis function of business winding up decisions which involves calculating recoverability/ net reliable value of assets/investments
Working Capital (Debtors, stocks) dashboard development, monitoring trends and sharing updates to senior management
Investment and Financial Planning
Build compelling cases for investments, based on sound decision making to gather and analyze financial information to make developments on existing processes as well as create new processes where required in the foreign business cluster
Findings, projections, and recommend actions with regards to new ventures, start-up projects in Sri Lanka & overseas which comes under the line Director (Investment Analysis)
Was the Lead Analyst in presenting the investment, recovery status and forecast for 5 years and worked on processing the investment in Myanmar
Analytical & Trend Analysis
Conduct research and analyze operational effectiveness and process thereby execute productivity benchmarks across departments to maximize company revenue
Develop and execute business strategies in assisting the Line Director to achieve short and long-term goals
Provide suggestions to reduce working capital costs, minimize stock holding cost
Human Capital Management:
Currently serves as the Project Manager of the restructuring project of the company's retail vertical
Accountable for planning and allocating resources, preparing budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle
The main point of contact, to respond to any project queries or issues without any time lag
Develop and maintain close and frequent high-level consultative contacts with internal senior management and external business representatives
Lead, motivate, inspire, manage the team to contribute the maximum and to work along with the restructuring project
Liaise between managers and team members, communicating concerns and expectations to appropriate parties
Lead and direct team members on effective methods, operations, and procedures
Operations, Planning & Coordination:
Co-ordinate all activity in the restructuring project on a day-to-day basis - sitting in the ‘war room' and ensuring all plans are kept on track, risks managed, and issues raised and resolved by the leadership team
Develop business models, presentations, conduct performance reviews and analysis to present findings to the senior management with regards to the project
Help measure company progress, identify operational process inefficiencies and diagnose procedural obstacles and weakness to recommend necessary improvements.
