Responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility to discharge all finance related activities of a work center, which as a corporate body caters to the requirement of engineering and construction of surface facilities for all onshore work centers of the organization. More than 40 Contracts of LSTK nature were under execution for more than INR 50000 million (US$800 million). There are related Third Party Inspection and Design Consultants Contracts as well.
• Heading a finance function of the group and is responsible for decision making for award of LSTK contracts, association during tendering process, Cost Estimation, Budgeting, Accounts preparation, auditing, Accounts payable management, associate finance project appraisal, Resolution of Post Contract Issues, Arbitrations etc.
• Support Head of Project in all financial matters including day to day matters, short term and long term planning and their successful implementation to maximize the profitability of the project.
• Interact with various outside agencies, including the tax authorities and govt. agencies for matters related to Land Acquisition, Compensation, Social responsibilities, environment, forest clearance and security etc.
Achievements:
• Expedited the decision making process in Tender Committees for awarding the LSTK Contracts. As a result the average time taken for NIT to Award could be reduced by upto 20 percent.
• Resolved Taxation related issues in more than 10 contracts. This could result in reimbursement of taxes & Duties which could not be resolved in several years.
• Conceptualized, developed and implemented Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Accounts Payable. Ensured that the Account Payments Process is expedited and standardized.
• Resolved the problems being faced by various stakeholders (The Contractors, Assets, Technical Sections and Management) in matters where Finance Section was involved amicably.
• Could got the Statutory, Govt and internal audits completed, with ‘nil’ comments right from 2013-14 to 2016-17.
Head Finance - Ankleshwar Asset Gujarat
Responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility to discharge all finance related activities of a work center with annual budget of approx. US$ 500 million and having activities of drilling and work-over with 12 rigs, over 250 wells producing Gas and Crude. Total workforce of around 3000 employees.
• Heading a team of finance executives/staff of 50 people, with a responsibility for Budgeting, Accounts preparation, auditing, Accounts payable management, Payroll and associate finance for procurement, project appraisal etc.
• Support Head of Project in all financial matters including day to day matters, short term and long term planning and their successful implementation to maximize the profitability of the project.
