Stress Engineer à Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Company (SASREF)
  • Arabie Saoudite
  • Je travaille ici depuis octobre 2016

1. Detailed design project CO2 Feedstock Supply Project from SASREF to SIPCHEM
2. Detailed design project Hydrogen Import Line for Ultra low sulphur diesel Unit (ULSD)
3. Detailed design project Gulf Farabi Olefin Pipelines through SASREF Piping Corridor
4. Piping Engineering assurance and integrity of Major turnaround and revamp projects in the refinery

Job Description:
•SASREF has encountered excessive vibration while throttling the bypass valves of control valves of the system that consists of preheated feed piping from feed heat exchanger to feed heater. There are four 2” control valves and 2” bypass valves for each control valve. Vibration assessment of bypass piping system is performed as per Energy Institute (EI) Guidelines to identify probable cause for vibration and suggest mitigations to dampen the vibration.
•SASREF has encountered vibration in the transfer line carrying intermediate residue from crude splitter furnace to column in crude distillation unit (CDU). Vibration assessment of piping system is performed as per Energy Institute (EI) Guidelines to identify probable cause for vibration and suggest mitigations to dampen the vibration. To reduce piping vibration, it is recommended to increase fundamental natural frequency of the piping system. Natural frequency of the system is increased by implementing support modification.
•SASREF has encountered reliability issue in main fractionator reboiler pump due to casing cover leak in Hydrocracker Unit. Stress study has been performed to reduce higher nozzle loads and maintain flange misalignment within allowable limit. It is recommended to modify the suction and discharge piping system with addition of strut supports and redesigning of spring hanger supports.
•Performing stress analysis to resolve vibration issues in the existing piping system and propose modification of the piping system through Management of Change (MOC).
•Review of IFC piping packages, equipment vendor drawings, MR and TBE for pipe and fittings, valves, special pipe supports (spring supports, struts, snubbers etc.).
•Technical assurance for process piping and utilities system and static equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, relief devices.
•Dealing with technical queries and provide necessary support to execution team.
•Review of Stress analysis of jacketed lines at Sulphur Recovery Units (SRU).
•Managing the team in terms of Personal and Process Safety, Technical Compliance, Quality and Teamwork.

area: Thermal & Fluid Sciences Thesis: under the title of thesis "Performance Evaluation of Seawater Counter Flow Cooling Towers" study of counter flow cooling tower for fresh water and seawater is investigated experimentally and is validated by simulating the performance by developing a numerical code. The second law (exergy) analysis is also carried out on both fresh water and seawater cooling towers. Furthermore, the performance characteristics of spray (shower) towers are investigated experimentally and compared with the fill packing tower.
