PARCO (Pak-Arab Refinery limited).The joint venture with Government of Pakistan and Abu Dhabi. Parco the most modern crud oil refining plant in Pakistan I have been serving Parco Laboratory as a chemist for eight years. As Chemist (shift supervisor) My job was to manage all laboratory activities and performed all tests according to international standard procedures and keep all equipment uptodate for precision and also providing technical assistant to my subordinate for performing all tests according to ASTM, IP, and UOP Methods. The tool I have used here on regular basis that was pH and conductivity meter, Spectrophotometer & ultra violet spectrophotometer, Infrared spectroscopy, Atomic Absorption spectroscopy, Gas Chromatography, Potentiometer titration, High performance liquid Chromatography, Water separation index modification (WSIM), Jet fuel Thermal Oxidation Tester (JETOT), CFR (Cooperate Fuel research) Engine, Sulfur analyzer by X-ray method and different technique, Conradson Carbon Residue Analyzer (MCRT), PONA by Gas chromatography
water analysis section :-
In the utility section I performed all water analysis mainly biochemical oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand, coli forming, and total bacteria countdown .BFW ( Boiler Feed Water), CW ( Cooling Tower), CBDs (Continuous Below down), steam condensate, make up water etc.
Environmental Analysis: -
Effluent Treatment Plant’ s samples ME Discharge, API Separator, DAF Vessel, Basins, Clarifiers, Final Effluent, Stack analysis.(Nox, Sox, CO, CO2, O2, H/C)
• M.Sc. chemistry (1990) with major analytical chemistry from Karachi University (KU) Pakistan. • Laboratory information management system (LIMS) Computer literacy: - MS office, internet explorer, and LIMS.
