- Inspection of all civil related construction activities carried out by contractor on site in accordance with specification, approved drawing & method statements
- Maintaining quality standards, ensuring stringent adherence to quality standards, norms & practices.
- Working in close coordination in work groups for supporting process audits and conducting review and approval of quality plans and detailing on quality requirements and finalizing the quality plan.
- Managing activities right from the conceptualization stage to the execution (after getting necessary approval from the consultant / main contractor / client) involving finalization of technical specifications, materials & inventory control, scheduling, progress monitoring.
- Ensure full compliance with company safety regulations and HSE management systems.
- To follow up the timely close out of non-conformities, corrective action requests and preventive action requests.
- To update corrective action requests and preventive action requests log.
- To verify that document control & distribution is in accordance with QMIS requirements.
- Scrutinize drawings to verify any discrepancies prior to its implementation.

Responsible for client progress meetings on and off site, cost control, invoicing,
variation claims, invoice payment resolution and conditions of contract. Also worked
closely with other departmental managers to promote overall company effectiveness.
Duties:
- Managed the project team including any subcontractors.
- Ensuring Projects and Programmes are executed using agreed standards & processes.
- Reviewed and approved all project documentation.
- Resolved any problems and issues that arose.
- Undertook all monthly project financial cost reporting.
-Preparing status reports for use in communication to stakeholders.
- Escalating issues and areas of concern to senior managers.
- Ensured staff and sub contractors timesheets were accurately completed.
-Generating Work Packages and Work Instructions. --- Provided project support for all off site activities.
- Prepare and review engineering analysis of civil works to include preliminary design, engineering calculations, equipment and material selection etc.
- Oversee the organization, administration and coordination of all elements involved in civil works - labour, materials, equipment, supplies, utilities, technology, methods and time in order to complete the assigned activities on schedule, within the budget and according to specific standards of quality and performance.
- Review the BOQ and detailed drawings; prepare civil work design drawings and carryout the required engineering calculations.
- Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, program modifications and structural repairs to the concerned project staff.
- Provide documentation, detailed instructions, drawings and specifications to inform project team.
- Leads all construction teams working on a section of a site, and manages manpower allocation with respect to activities and tasks.
- Closely coordinate with Purchasing Function and assist in supplier identification, RFQ preparation and communication, BTF preparation, etc.; determine quality of the construction materials based on the project specification and convey to the Purchasing Function.
- Manages all sub-contractors on a section of the site, follow up on their progress, and monitors their quality and quantity of work.
- Handles concrete pouring, asphalt laying and other similar activities’ schedules on site, and coordinates with the suppliers directly to dispatch them to site.
- Leads and controls skilled labor and work crews engaged in all activities concerned with the civil works, aspects of the project. Ability to optimize resources (manpower, equipment and materials) to ensure efficient and timely completion of the works. Able to demonstrate good organizational skills, following policies, procedures and work practices.
- Read, interpret and follow method of statements and procedures, specifications, drawings, and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation.
- Ensures that work crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment and materials. Prevents wastage of manpower and equipment including materials and tools.
- Prepares and report the daily, weekly and monthly progress of works.
- Prepare progress invoices and submit to the client, assist the Finance Department for collections.
