Deputy General Manager & Acting General Manager
• Commission the Mine operations safely and on schedule, ensuring early production ramp up in line with the agreed schedule.
• Daily operational planning and execution of the mining operation. With this you will need efective and eficient allocation of mining resources as measured by schedule compliance
• Operate the Mine safely and cost efectively, in accordance with agreed operating plans and in line with applicable regulations and industry best practice including international EHS Guidelines and Performance Standards.
• Manage and coordinate operations, maintenance, quality control and engineering to achieve required tonnage and product grade specifications.
• Implement the company's Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability management plans and promote a culture of awareness and commitment to safe working practices amongst all employees, which will enable a healthy and accident-free working environment.
• Engage with all local stakeholders including Government, suppliers, communities and civil society organizations to enhance the company's reputation and manage any risks.
• Develop and mentor direct reports and coach the team towards delivery of solutions that balance cost and quality.
• Ensure compliance in country and all aspects of the operations meet specified regulations.
• Reports to general manager and will look after all activities of Mining department.

Maximising production in an efficient and cost-effective manner that ensures the LOM.
Evaluating efficiency of production sites to determine adequacy of personnel, equipment and technologies used, and make changes to work schedule or equipment when necessary
Planning details of production activities in terms of output quality and quantity, cost, time available and labour requirements
Controlling the operation of plant and quality procedures through planning of maintenance, designation of operating hours and supply of equipment
Establishing and managing budgets, monitoring production output and costs, and adjusting processes and resources to minimize costs
Overseeing the acquisition and installation of new Mining Equipment Programs and equipment
Controlling the preparation of production records and reports
Coordinating the implementation of health and safety requirements
Researching and implementing regulatory and statutory requirements affecting mineral extraction operations and the environment

Coordinate and define the project resources and post implementation evaluations

Establishing and providing maximum safety quality and accident-free contract-mining activities in all duties of work
Leads teams in incidents and accidents investigations and a committee member in reviewing safety yearly topic for Pass meetings and safety operational procedures.
