● Providing subject matter expertise to the business and customers across cloud infrastructure including Azure, AWS, Office 365 and on premises technologies including networking.
● Consult, design, implement, and support customers IT requirements.
1. Datacenter Management.
• Responsible for maintaining two datacenters in an active-active state
• Negotiating and enforcing service level agreements for Datacenter facility maintenance (cooling, generator, UPS, Fire suppression)
• Certifying equipment installation in the datacenter making sure that all installations adhere to datacenter standards
• Managing space in the datacenter making sure that equipment is strategically installed and space is available for growth
• Monitoring datacenter facility against abnormal temperature and humidity, power failure and intrusion.
2. Data and Voice Network Management
• Provide redundant data network connectivity to all branches through multiple independent service providers
• Provide VoIP telephone service (Avaya) between head office and branches with redundant connectivity to PSTN (PRI, SIP)
• Negotiate and enforce service level agreements with Internet service providers and Voice providers
• Provide real-time network monitoring (Nagios, Zabbix, Solarwinds, and Observium) and automatic failover in case of link failover (HSRP, EIGRP, BGP).
3. Server and Storage Infrastructure management
• Maintain virtualization platforms (VMware, PowerVM) and storage area network (IBM v7000 and IBM V5030)
• Provide online data replication between Live and DR virtual platforms
• Provide real-time server resource utilization monitoring and automatic alerts
• Network configuration (WAN, SAN, LAN and WIFI)
• Network and Server monitoring to ensure system availability at all times
• Identifying gaps and budgeting for IT Infrastructure upgrades in line with business needs
• Formulating standard operating procedures (SOP) documents in line with ISO Standards
• Establishing and enforcing SLAs with Network Service Providers
• Supervising Support Specialists in network hardware installation
• Administering the company’s Active Directory Domain and Exchange server.

• Backup Management in line with SOPs (Veritas Backup Exec)

2. Desktop Support
• Provide second level desktop support for users
• Deploy Windows and antivirus updates to computers across branches and monitor compliance.
• Manage the IT repair workshop by maintaining inventory of equipment received and dispatched.
• Ensure the deployment of security patches and anti-virus software for all machines in the network
• Participate in project and implementations related to IT Infrastructure
• Conduct quarterly preventive maintenance on Local area Networks (LANs) in the branches.
