Worked alongside scientist experts to collect and analyse data around a project looking to investigate the role of calcium channels in oncology and neuropathic pain. I learned various laboratory techniques and how to collect analyse and present interpreted data. Learned the process of laboratory management and teamwork and communication skills
Validation and prospective discovery of the laboratory research into oncology and neuropathic pain, using cutting edge technologies including near infrared fluorescence and chemiluminescence imaging (Odyssey M Li-Cor imaging system).
Experienced the full cycle of livestock exploitation industry: breeding, artificial insemination, nutrition, health care and diagnosis, medicine administration, production and quality control of meat and dairy products, sacrifice and post-mortem examination.
Shadowing Veterinary doctors and nurses in consultations and treatments (including surgeries) and familiarization with the animal in-patient boarding.
