PROJECT NAME : MIDOR refinery (Oil & Gas Project)
CLIENT : Middle East refinery (Including10 Shutdowns and 3 Turnarounds)
Key Responsibilities Handled As Planning Engineer (Construction & Maintenance Planning)
•Preparing the Planning Package for the project including the Project Monitoring & Control deliverables.
•Preparation of Level III & Level IV Plan, Work Break Down Structure and Resources (Manpower & Equipment) requirement plan
•Preparation of Subcontractors and Materials requirement plan (MRP)
•Preparing Monthly, Quarterly, Weekly and specific reports to Management and Client. Reports typically include the project progress statistics, highlights, areas of concern and updated Procurement Register, Subcontract Register, Document Register & Drawings Register.
•Monitoring Schedule of projects under execution, Time schedule control of job sites in the course of construction
•Identification of problematic areas & critical activities, before occurrence and remedial work/solution for rectification of problems to avoid delay in project.
•Appling Forensic Delay Analysis.
•Cost analysis, control, accomplishment within budgets of projects, utilizing existing experience to finalize appropriate specification, negotiation with vendors and contractors and supervision to best utilize available resources.
•Participation in daily, weekly and monthly meetings with client to review previous progress and future plans and to prepare technical meeting data and presentations to client.
•Responsible for preparing issuance procedure & utilization control for direct materials.
•Close coordination with procurement, QC, HSE and execution team for smooth running and accomplishment of project with in prescribed time schedule.
•Co-ordination with the Project Manager on current issues of concern and potential future problems resulting in reprogramming as necessary to overcome them
•Initiation / responding to all planning / time related correspondence to Client / Subcontractors
•Attend all site coordination meetings with Site Engineers / Subcontractors and to Prepare minutes of meetings.
•Preparation of work packages for site supervisors, management of resources, workshop / site monitoring to evaluate progress and efficiency of resources (manpower & equipment).
•Maintaining detailed record of technical developments and variations including Drawing Register, Documents Register and Procurement Register.
•Preparation of Project Close out Report, document the Lessons Learnt as a reference for futuristic projects.
•Project Risk Management Coordinator.
•Identify RISK in the project, creating risk management plan and. using Primavera risk analysis to manage risk in the project Ver 8.6
•Following up with the contract manager to finalize all variation with client and other contractors to be included in the payments.
•Maintain record and track scope changes and BOQ measurement according to the approved IFC drawings.
•Issuing cost reports and success key perimeters reports:
•Using SV, CV, CPI and SPI to measure the performance of the project.
•Engineering and design KPI’s.
•Reporting procurement activities and compare it to the existing schedules.
•Timeliness, making recommendations to project management to manage any variations and implement immediate action.
•Cost Elements Productivity/production measurement, trend and variance analysis for all activities.
Growth Path:
Worked with PETROMAINT (Alexandria Petroleum Construction Company) for more than ~5 years at various positions of Project Control Section for the Projects. And Worked as Sr. Planning Engineer with (CCC, Bechtel, Siemens) for Riyadh Metro Project, BACS consortium, Currently I am Working with BECHTEL as Sr. Planner.
