- Responsible and not limited to the following roles and responsibilities; -
• Responsible for the development and implementation of KPIs on project progress and compliance to project schedule and budget in order to effectively monitor and manage projects.
• Responsible for coordination between all project tracks; civil & MEP activities, Utilities track, Processing & equipment’s installations/ commissioning/ start up activities.
• Manage and develop risk matrix defining all possible factors may impact the project targeted spending and timing.
• Prepare and build up a contingency/back up plans for each risk element.
• Manage different culture suppliers (local and foreign) starting scope definition, tendering, technical/financial evaluation & selection, scope execution phase and then handing over to operation and manufacturing teams.
• Facilitate the coordination between all stake holders i.e. Engineering Department, Engineering Services provider, Factory management, suppliers, Finance, Procurement, Supply chain and Marketing department.
• Consistently drive excellence, stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
• Develop and deliver modifications of procedures optimizing equipment utilization, manpower and resources in order to achieve higher reliability as well as efficiency.
• Provide recommendations and propose solutions for department heads in terms of projects’ finance, procurement, contracts, and vendor communication in order to ensure successful and risk adverse measures regarding projects.
• Accountable for all relevant safety, quality and environmental policies, procedures and controls are adhered to so that employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude can be guaranteed.

leading new projects and intercompany team
- Leading new projects team in:-

• Preparing plant Capex list (Capex budget) attached with individual feasibility studies for each new item/ (project) of the coming year.
• Prepare the design study for each approved Capex item/project indicating estimated budget (time/cost)
• Manage & coordinate implementation of plant projects through tendering, offers collecting, technical evaluations and selecting suppliers/ contractors
• Supervise and control projects implementation in order to achieve the designed targets with the planned budget and timeline.
• Carry out reconciliation meeting with financial department on a monthly base in addition to the yearly closing.
• Handing over the implemented projects to manufacturing team through the Qualification process.
• Generate the capitalization process of the new assets in cooperation with the controlling team

- Leading the intercompany team in:-

• Manage the communications with other departments regarding the potential markets and the plant available capacity from each product.
• Responsible for providing the Internal Billing Rate per each product from controlling team to all plant stakeholders.
• Managing the implementation of any new product development (new product, new packaging format…etc.)
• Reviewing and assuring that all plant products bill of material are correct and match with the actual material consumption's.

-Joined the Regional Technical Support Team (Plant Performance Controller.)
• Owner of CTC (Cairo Technical Center )Business Processes, and CTC P&L controller (costs and invoicing)
 Work request and CTC activities breakdown monitoring, timing reporting to BU’s, billing or documenting time allocation for assistance to BU’s, support to CAPEX and CTC KPIs monitoring.
 Control, analyze and challenge plant performance and costs trough MMP, CDP provided by plants and BU’s.
• Develop performance analysis competency in the plants.
 Ensure alignment of practices and processes / systems, between the various BU's/Plants, CTC Departments, management and the DPC requirements / needs.
 Maintain the level of functionalities of the actual system in place for gathering technical information and recommending improvements.
• Provide accurate and on-time data reporting and analysis of various technical / financial metrics provided by the plants / BU's
• Analyze the yearly Excellence Program data reporting.
• Consolidate the Excellence savings.
• Plant costs control: Transferring CDP by plants in operational performance analysis for DPPs, with a first level of challenge and actions to be launched.
• Provide accurate technical information on a timely basis through the dissemination of monthly technical reports such as: MMP and other technical dashboard that will help the performance group achieving their objectives.
• Assemble the technical budget, forecast and PIP including Production costs (Cement bin cost).

• Responsible for defining investment and Capex strategy & budget together with the BU investment committee.
• Set up the internal capital management procedure for the new needed plant added fixed assets.
• Prepare all projects feasibility studies and open direct channels with the concerned suppliers to coordinate the technical specifications confirmation from the plant technical staff.
• Responsible for projects managements starting from studding phase, cost estimation, time schedule setting, getting top management approval then tendering and collecting offers phase and finally following up the job execution and transferring these projects into the plant fixed assists/operational elements .
• Collect all needed information about the major plant equipment which should be included in the long term agreements with its related suppliers and carry out the needed negotiations.
• Prepare the plant capital budget by collecting all plant sections budgets and then get its needed approval from the top management according to the Lafarge Investments Procedure.
• Carry out the reconciliation meeting with financial department on a monthly base in addition to the yearly closing.
• Monitor the monthly plant capital spending and compare it with the budgeted figure to identify the monthly budget variance.

o Responsible for increasing company fixed assets by preparing and implementing the capital investment projects .
o Approve the estimated costing of each project based on a budgetary offers for each project item .
o Monitoring and following up the monthly and yearly spending of the Capital projects with company financial controller .
o Responsible for projects managements starting from studding phase, cost estimation, time schedule setting, getting top management approval then tendering and collecting offers phase and finally following up the job execution and transferring these projects into the plant fixed assists .
o Responsible for issuing purchase requisitions and receiving work done invoices of the capital investments projects on the JDE’s software.
o Preparing the plant capital investments budget of the coming year including a detailed project description, cost estimation(+or - 10%), time frame and an expected payback (Feasibility Studies).
o Preparing the plant capital investments plan for the next 3 years including a brief description of the listed projects indicating the economical value added of each project attached with a roughly cost estimation (Opportunity Studies) .

• Raw mills and dust collectors (filters) Mechanical Maintenance Planner: -
 Responsible for work orders planning, spare parts control, purchase requests creation and follow up, material issuing, area monthly budget creation and spare parts cost reduction.
• Utilities Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator: -
 Responsible for planning, maintenance and modifications of: air compressors, blowers, steam boilers, water pumps, fuel oil (Mazout) pumps, fuel oil tanks and all related piping networks.
 Participation in monthly budget creation for the plant.
 Daily tracking of Weekly budget conformity.

• Planning and cost control for pre-shutdown and shutdown activities of Rotary Kiln (5100 ton/day) upgrading, changing the planetary clinker cooler to SF grate cooler.
• Mechanical supervision for all activities during kiln shutdown.
• Planning, cost control and execution supervision for Leaks Correction Project around the plant (Quarry, Raw mills, Kilns, Cement mills and packing area).
• Planning and cost control for pre-shutdown and shutdown activities of Rotary Kiln (4000 ton/day) upgrading, changing the rotary clinker cooler to SF grate cooler.

• Erection, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up for air compressors and water pumps.
• Follow up and update the erection, start up and operation plan from the turnkey contract.

• Piping fabrication and installation.
• Equipment installation according to site lay out drawings.
• Planning and cost control of the erection jobs and manpower activities.
