1. Field water testing
Conduct free chlorine residuals at the different water points (field level) according to established methodology and agreed schedule
Conduct turbidity testing at the different water points (field level) according to established methodology and agreed schedule
Fill the testing report and submit to the Water Quality Officer
Collect water samples according to schedule/ location and deliver such water samples to Yarmouk laboratory in Irbid for microbiological testing and collects the results according to schedule
Support the water quality officer in preparing schedule for field water sampling
Provide necessary feedback on field tests results and propose corrective actions
With the water quality officer, implement corrective actions accordingly
Propose adjustments to the water sampling schedule based on the field results
Investigate and report on any water quality incident as per the water quality officer's instructions and guidelines
2. Monitoring of boreholes water quality
Ensure boreholes have correct licenses and follow-up on the monthly borehole operator's report (TDS, ammonia, chlorine and microbiological)
Conduct regular (weekly) borehole assessments and inspections
Run spot check on boreholes operations (controlling the chlorination system, pipes and storage in particular)
When instructed by the water quality officer, take samples from the boreholes for chemical testing and send these samples to Yarmouk laboratory
3. Gate / internal boreholes controls
Provide support to the water quality officer in running spot checks on water quality tests being conducted at the gate and internal boreholes
Review the gate monitors and rejected trucks reports as well as corresponding board to ensure appropriate action is being taken at the gate
Support gate staff in implementing follow-up action related to water quality
4. Water quality processes
Provide support to the water quality officer in overseeing correct implementation of the water quality SoPs and training the water team on the latter
5. Supervision of tank cleaning and disinfection
Follow and monitor the cleaning and disinfection team and ensure that team is following the cleaning SOP and safety instructions
Support the water quality officer in reviewing the accuracy of the daily reported cleaned/disinfected tanks
Support the water quality officer in providing the cleaning team with their work needs
6. Reporting
Ensure water quality tests sheets are correctly filled and submit them daily to the water quality officer
Provide weekly as well as ad-hoc (incident) reports on his activities to the water quality officer
Ensure that the monthly water cleaning/disinfection reports are correctly filled and submit them to the water quality officer
