Overseeing the construction to ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications; inspects construction workmanship, materials, equipment. • Making cost estimates on design changes, evaluating cost proposals and contractors’ requests for adjustments. • Reporting to the Project manager on the project’s conformity and non-conformity to approved drawings and specifications; making recommendations on how to correct deficiencies and resolve problems during construction. • Primary reviewing Designs of 380KV/132KV/13.8KV Substations including Overall equipment layout and sections, station service transformer sizing & layout and section, Outdoor Gantry area layout and sections, Duct Bank sizing cable tray sizing, Lighting system, Single Line Diagram, cable & conduit size, Panel Board Schedule, Cable & Conduit Schedule, Cable Routing. • Engineering and Design of Over Head Transmission Lines and U/G Power cables from 69kV to 230kV. • Coordination with civil and all other MEP services for smooth flow of work according to schedule. • Weekly progress review meeting with the Sub-contractors.
Installed and erected of electrical panels which included Servo Drives (Siemens, Stober), AC Drives (Siemens), Starters, PLC's (Siemens), ABB etc.
Performed load calculations for sizing the wires and circuits protection.
Responsible for maintenance (breakdown and preventive) for panels (containing relay logic and PLC, AC Drives, motors), 2*2.5 MVA transformer, 11KV HT and LT panel, VCB, UPS system, PCC, MCC panel and APFC panel, machines (EOT Cranes, Pipe End Beveling Machine, Hydro Tester Machine, X-ray, Welding Machines).
Knowledge of selection of FMD, AC Drives, PLC, instrument panels, panel components & cables to be used in panel/machine, hardware configuration (Arranging of CPU, Interface modules, DI/DO, AI/AO, Counter modules for Encoders, Siemens), inductive proximity, capacitive sensor, pressure transducers (analog o/p type), RTD, thermocouple (J-type & PT 100), flow sensors, photo sensors, laser sensor (o/p type analog & digital both), breakers like thermal, air circuit breakers etc.
Developed maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
Checked electrical, Mechanical, hydraulic systems of machines to ensure functionality.
Kept maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
Ensured health and safety policies are complied with.
Scheduled and overseen all maintenance-related work by managing a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors.
