Mechanical QA QC Engineer

Being recruited by QDVC's Quality team as a QA/QC Engineer for the construction project focused on the development of Qatar's air base, specifically the Doha air base situated in Central Doha. The project spans an extensive 8.2 square kilometers of land, with a built-up area totaling 163, 342 square meters. The scope of the project includes the construction of more than 60 structures.
• Perform daily construction surveillance at project sites and provide technical assistance.
• Supervises the correct execution of work in accordance with the technical requirements and standards such as QCS, SMACNA, ASHRAE, IPC and NFPA.
• Well experienced in usage of web platforms such as Zutec and E-Project for Inspections, INR, SOR, NCR preparation, and latest revision of approved project documents.
• Review work procedures and method statements for compliance with good work practices.
• Conduct the WMS/ITP/Testing and Commissioning task brief on site.
• Carryout material and site inspections for diverse mechanical systems in various building types, potable water pumping station, wet utility networks and substations essential for the functioning of an air base.
• Coordinate all site inspections with the site subcontractors.
• Assist the site subcontractors in the resolution of drawing interpretation.
• Review all inspection reports for compliance.
• Ensure all hold points are respected on site. To advise always parties involved in WP and RI.
• Ensure the site activities are executing in accordance with the approved Drawings, WMS, ITPs and Approved Materials, if any deviations occurred, immediately informing to the concerned Construction in charge through SOR or NCR for further action.
• Assist Quality Manager in the organization, maintenance and control of the quality system.
• Reporting the Quality non-compliance to the line manager and the site construction team to take correction action.
• Ensures the implementation of site change requests and approved corrective action for the NCRs.
• The completion of QA/QC site inspections and coordinate their closure.
• Perform Testing and Commissioning inspections including Pre-commissioning and Commissioning.

Qatar Emiri Air Base, Doha - More than 60 Structures + Wet Utility Networks.
Baseline project schedule creation with respect to the project dead line.
Oversee project execution with respect to the project specification.
Plan and assign daily and weekly tasks based on the project schedule
Coordinating with procurement team for materials.
Manage and track daily activities within each discipline, indluding manpewer allocation
Store stock issuance and monitor work status.
Manage subcontractor's daily construction activities and Progress.
Recording and analyzing the site progress.
Attend meetings on site and report to the Project Manager with the schedule chart and
basic activities.
Efficient Coordination with general contractors, consultants and subcontractors.
Consistent affirmation of project safety protocol and risk assessment.
Design change and as-built drawing development assistance.
Coordination & Supervision on Commissioning & handing over.

Material and Technical submissions.
Monitoring of all quality related activities based on the approved WMS, ITP & MAR.
Resolving site quality issues and providing technical inputs.
Raising ITR and MRIR to consultant, based on pre- inspection on site, submittals and shop drawing.
Conduct routine surveillance visits, prepare the inspection reports and notify the engineers of any
non-conformances with the quality control requirements.
Providing root cause analysis and closing out of non-conformance/site observation reports.
Ensuring that the root cause identified for the non-conformances are eliminated and the corrective
actions taken are sufficient.
Make sure all the installations are recorded, tested and inspected.
Responsible to close the raised ITRs and MIRs by rectifying the comments during the inspection on
ITRs and submitting the supporting quality documents for MIRs.
Preparation and submission of inspection dossier and handing over documents.

Get approved Shop drawings, MEP Coordination drawings, Work method statement and project specification from Project Engineer.
Ensure sufficient hand tools, power tools, ladder and scaffolding are available for installation.
Coordinate with other disciplines and ensure site clearance is available to start the Activities.
Provide approved Shop drawing, MEP Coordination drawing to site supervisor or Foreman and inform them to shift the required approved material from warehouse to site and arrange required material to avoid progress delay.
Closely monitor site activities to ensure quality of work is in compliance with approved shop drawing and specification and get daily progress report from site supervisor or foreman and update to project Engineer.
Ensuring safety standards and procedures are implemented and followed in accordance with contract requirements and Company guidelines.
Carry out all planned site inspections as per the intervention points marked in the relevant drawing and standard.
