o Serves as Mechanical Engineer, prepares drawings and specifications for private architect-engineer contracts and reviews contractor's designs. Prepares detailed technical review comments.
o Develops original plans, design analyzes, and specifications for complex mechanical features of design work accomplished in-house. Drafts technical specifications, design criteria and drawings in conjunction with designs generated in-house. This includes plan layouts, design computations, selection of materials, components, and equipment to be incorporated into the design, comparative cost studies, etc. Reviews preliminary and final design plans prepared by engineers of lower grade to assure technical adequacy and compliance with all instructions and changes provided during the course of design development, and for feasibility, clarity and consistency with related engineering features.
o Prepare preliminary calculations and establish base load requirements for different mechanical networks.
o Design Mechanical networks (Domestic water, Sewage, Drainage, Firefighting).
o Design HVAC system (Ducting & chilled Pipes) networks using HAP Carrier program to find cooling & heating load, then assign required Ventilation system according to building functions.
o Visits sites of proposed future projects to acquire field data necessary to support design. Visits construction sites to investigate and resolve problems, which arise during the course of construction, and to interpret construction plans and specifications when questions arise as to the intent of design. Participates in conferences to discuss methods for resolving design discrepancies and integrating various technical requirements into designs. Through expert application of proven techniques during design review, reveals conditions of design requirements which will result in excessive cost.
o Interacts with the client to share and understand the on-going design. Support Project Manager in planning, budgeting, implementation and monitoring of the project design activities.
o Support project staff for high quality and timely operational outputs delivery. Collaborate closely with the Project Team in execution of project plans and activities.
