1) Oracle Supply Chain Management (SCM) Cloud - Oracle Fusion Project

Role(s): Project implementation lead for SCM Cloud for manufacturing units.

Scope: Responsible for successful roll out of SCM modules in coordination with external implementation consultants, business unit heads, and other related modules team leads.

Current status: Closed discovery phase & gap analysis. Arranging master data in pre-defined templates. Business process mapping verification for accurate design demos for end-user acceptance. Working closely with other related modules like Finance for user level authorizations and approved process flows for sales and other related transactions. Working with implementation consultants for 2nd wave of CRPs (Conference Room Presentations/demos) to ensure maximum coverage of workflows before final roll-out.


2) Cloud-based Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne E9.2 Project

Role(s): Project management and coordination. Project schedule implementation, tracking and reporting using Microsoft Project 2016.

Scope: IT Software Services, Feasibility study, Process Mapping, Gap Analysis, Technical Implementation Supervision, Remote and on-site extensive User Training

Contact Points: Director, Finance Manager, Group IT Manager, Functional Consultants, In-house JDE Support Specialists, External Vendors, and Software Developers.

Project Scheduling and Tracking: Implemented complete schedule with resource assignments for JDE Roll Out in Microsoft Project Professional 2016. Project plan features Baseline, Milestones, Deadlines, Multiple Calendars, WBS, Fixed and Variable Cost Tracking, Resource Workload Leveling, Task Completion Tracking and Earned Value Management (EVM) reports.

Result: We successfully implemented cloud-based JD Edwards E9.2 in various business units - manufacturing and production, warehouses, sales and distribution, logistics, and finance modules in the first year of implementation and extended its integration with our other group of companies in the second year. Also, established shared purchasing, warehouse, and inventory management with unique roles in each business unit along with secure authorizations from line managers.

Contact Points: Architects, Designers, Engineers, Industrial Machine Installers, Contractors, and Vendors, Hardware and Digital Equipment Technical Teams, and Software Developers.

Construction of 2 IT Centers (with end-to-end IP based Cisco, IBM, HP and Panasonic solutions), 100+ end-user connectivity across the whole factory, administration, laboratory, warehouses using fiber optic connectivity, multiple CCTV networks, biometric attendance systems, hand-held readers, barcode scanners, IP based Telephony, VPN connectivity between factory, head office in Abu Dhabi and regional office in Al Ain, installation of various sensors based systems for STARLIMS (ABBOTT, USA) in laboratory for direct data capturing of samples results from laboratory equipment, connectivity of Siemens SCADA systems with Oracle ERP controlling Weighbridge, Silos, several ERP dashboards and with STARLIMS for Quality Module. Due to the unique requirements of the Feed Mill, we even paid Inteqnion, Holland and STARLIMS, USA to write custom libraries for seamless integration of Quality Module with the inventory, production, and distribution modules of ERP. We also installed and configured HP Enterprise series Servers, IBM data backup solutions, Panasonic NVR for CCTV stream recording and various File, Application, Database, Domain, Alternate Domain, and AntiVirus Servers. At critical locations we even provided redundant networking routes, backup internet connectivity, etc. to achieve minimal downtime during live production. We also implemented BRILL Feed Formulation ERP by Feed Management Systems, USA with Cost Calculation Module (currently Pennent Pricing on Sivado).

Fast-Tracking was done at various levels like creation and testing of complete network outside Feed Mill, hardware and sensors connectivity and testing at vendor locations, creation of fully functional mini-network with servers, routers, switches for Oracle ERP, Siemens SCADA and Quality Systems integration and testing before actual installation, etc.

Result: Project was declared a success by our regional rivals in the Middle East. We successfully achieved seamless integration from infrastructure and enterprise application point of view.
