• Provide planning, design and technical support for (LAN & WAN) infrastructure components, applications and related internetworking services.
• Recommend, purchase, install, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN hardware and software elements, wireless and wired networks, workstations, servers, application software, peripherals devices.
• Coordinate or initiate troubleshooting and corrective action to resolve network or component malfunctions.
• Configure & install LAN work station software. Diagnose & trouble shoot application conflicts or anomalies, down load updates & apply necessary patches.
• Research & resolve technical issues related to LAN peripherals, e.g. printers, scanners, DVD burner/players.
• Troubleshoot & repair/replace computer hardware components. Install & configure hardware upgrades such as RAM & additional drives.
• Windows / System / Network support.
• Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions.
• Install, configure, and maintain laptop(dell series), personal computers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; adds or upgrades and configures modems, disk drives, data acquisition boards, CD ROM units, printers, and related equipment.
• Create delete and manage user accounts in active directory.
• Maintain records, documentation, and change history files on locations and networks assigned.
• Assist in the monitoring & maintenance of all LAN equipment to ensure optimal performance, including hardware & software upgrades as needed and Taking regular backups.
