Ensuring that project activities don’t impact negatively on the environment of the project area and human resource in general.
•Monitoring and ensuring compliance of project with the environmental standards and terms of contract.
•Ensuring safety and protection of all company employees from occupational health hazards to enable workers execute their duties in stress free and conducive environment.
•Designing of environment management plan and Action plans that are aimed at maintaining sustainability of the environment in project areas.
•Carrying out supervisory work and ensuring that labor force uses protective equipment at all times during work hours to avoid work related injuries.
•Upholding the company safety policy and be able to make risk assessments at work and forge a way forward to curb accidents and any other health hazards.
•Carrying out induction/training briefs to raise the awareness of all employees on the need for safety.
•Reviewing the company environment policy and other relevant safety documents and developing safety work plans that meet the clients’ safety requirements for contracts awarded to the company.
•Preparing and coordinating on site stakeholder safety meetings and report writing.
•Carrying out safety audits for headquarters and project sites and investigating of incidents like injuries and property damages that may arise.
•Ensuring implementation and enforcement of company safety rules and regulations keep in harmony with the National Occupational safety and Health Act (OSHA)
Achievements
Won an award of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) most improved company out of 50 Companies organized by Association of Uganda Oil and Gas service providers (AUGOS) and e360
Training Ugandan security specialists on safety in healthy living in the war zone, using training manuals provided by the US Army.
•Supervising security personnel in field on various posts of deployment to ensure compliance with training given and ensure that guards memorize their post SOP’s and duty general orders, and above all trained on incident reporting, radio call communication and emergency preparedness.
•Guiding security personnel through practical drills on control in emergency situations and safer use and handling of weapons.
•Counseling of security personnel that act or behave contrary to the rules and regulations especially on safety, uniform wear and appearance and Motor vehicle use
•Preparing and updating weekly manning roster for about 500 security personnel and communicating the adjustments and changes to the Camp manager at
Conducting field research by collecting data from respondents.
•Data analysis.

•Designing of field questionnaires for respondents.
•Proposal writing to Donor agents for grants to support various project activities.
•Co-coordinating organizational activities and creating and improving a working link with various likeminded Environmental civil society organizations.

•Information dissemination on environment management related matters and conducting training to personnel at all levels on proper environment management.
