Scope of the position:
My primary role is to lead the project management office in the Marketing Communications Department. I’m accountable for establishing the department’s approach to the full life cycle of projects it undertakes - from project initiation, planning, resourcing, execution, monitoring, control and completion. Insuring that the PMO meets the performance targets that are aligned with the department’s strategic objectives and that projects adhere to best practices.
Areas of responsibility:
• To align all department projects and initiatives with the overall department strategy
• To play an executive role in the planning and prioritizing of projects based on strategic objectives, cost/benefit considerations, timing, and capacity.
• To establish and ensure appropriate department project, program, and portfolio governance
• To perform portfolio management functions to ensure strategy alignment and benefits realization
• To source guidance and advice to project managers and department account managers.
• To set and oversee the configuration management standards implementation within the Project Management Office.
• To implement a set of project management tools for project specialists and project teams.
• To identify, define, standardize, communicate, share, implement, and inforce department process, procedures, policies, and guidelines.
• To lead the project management team by:
o Define team structure and roles
o Provide ongoing feedback and coaching
o Assign individual projects
o Undertake project-related or annual performance reviews
o Assist with personal development plans and career paths

Scope of the position: • Direct and Supervise project's development from beginning to end.

- Managed a business modeling project that defined all engineering, configuration
management, and manufacturing processes and procedures within the National Satellite
Center.
- Managed a PLM awareness program that served over 190 employees.
- Participated in the ISO9001 certification preparation activities.

• Created a software design standard for the National Satellite Technology
Program (NSTP)
• Participated in a space experiment mission in collaboration with NASA and
Stanford University (this project will last until 2015)
• Worked on major national satellite projects as a software developer.
• Participated as a system analyst in the development ground station software for remote sensing satellites (using C# and java J2EE)
• Analyzed and optimized a communication satellite's ground station software
(using Visual Basic 6)
• Designed and developed a knowledgebase system (using ASP.NET/C#)
• Participated in the analysis phase of an Oracle ERP implementation project at
KACST.
• Installed and implemented the internal portal for NSTP (using MS Sharepoint
2007) • Worked with the first Saudi Satellite Commissioning team in 2006.
• The Employee of the year for two times (2007, 2009)
• Trained employees on software engineering, SQL Database, and web
development using C#.
Management: • Participated in the development of the Project Management Methodology for
NSTP (based on PMI)
• Participated in the development of the configuration management standards,
plans, and procedures based on CMII.
• Worked on developing competency database for satellite development,
launching, and commissioning missions based on NASA competency dictionary.
• Trained employees on Configuration Management.
OTHER ACTIVITIES:
• Designed and developed websites for various companies like Gulf buildings, Alhuwaishil
Group, Alwabel Group, Alhabib Trading Group, Jeddah Race Way, Khalid Hafiz, Badir
Advance Manufacturing Incubators, Agrisols, and others.
