Managed a full life-cycle ERP implementation and post Go-Live of MS AX 2012 R3 for Kuwait based furniture retail and manufacturing company having business in Saudi Arabia & Turkey.
• Manage the planning and re-implementation of MS Dynamics AX 2012 R3.
• Manage the project implementation team.
• Managing a full life-cycle ERP implementation from a technical, functional and organizational change management standpoint.
• Liaises with various technology providers, integration with other applications (SharePoint, E-commerce, HR/Payroll & handheld devices and mobility), and track and follow up project plans and timelines, Identify and minimize project risk etc.
• Responsible to apply best practice across all modules of MS Dynamics AX system according to the industry standard in order to streamline business process and strategies by utilizing ERP system capabilities.

Activities involved

ERP Rollout
Migrating from an in-house developed ERP (called SERPS) to Microsoft Dynamics AX, through preparation of proper scope document, finding suitable products and vendors, selection and demo, comparing products, study and analysis along with functional heads and SMEs in the organization.

My Role: I was an active member of ERP implementation core team (as IT project Coordinator) which includes all functional heads as well as functional consultants and SMEs of the organization.
• Work closely with the business team, functional consultants, and end-users on the key developments of the project.
• Coordinating all the project related activities between the business and the vendor.
• Manage installation, configuration and setup of MS Dynamics AX environment, from infrastructure level up to the up-and-running and post implementation level.
• Manage SQL database installation and configuration.
• Implement technical features of the system such as Alerts, E-mails, workflow etc.
• Developing customized reports in SSRS and in BI tools for the core business team.
• Developing PDA (handheld devices) applications and integrating it with Dynamics AX.

FWPI - FWPI Mobile Inventory Management is an integration project of MS Dynamics AX with a hand-held (PDA) device.
