I am currently a Contracts Manager, managing the contract in the construction and timeous completion of the following plant areas. The plant areas responsible for is namely the water plant which mainly consist of a reverse osmosis system for generating drinking water and further GTM and CEDI units to produce demineralized water, Bulk fuel oil plant unloading, storage and supply systems, compressors for compressed air supply, H2/N2 plant generation systems for cooling and purging, condensate polishing plant and all other auxiliary plants. My section consists of four senior supervisors which is responsible for different sections of the plant areas under my control. I am responsible for the planning and managing of the work to adhere to the project completion program schedule, to coincide with the main program. I am also responsible for the overall quality of the C&I installation as per design freeze or plant scope of work. I am the liaison person on the project between our main contractor as well as the other disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Generation and Commissioning etc) to ensure a smooth transition between the different disciplines with respect to plant completion and commissioning.

Supervision of CED C&I supervisors, including main C&I contractor. The planning and monitoring of the project program on the installation and completion period, to coincide with the main program. Monitoring and updating the C&I IC tracker (plant completion program). Liaison on the project between other disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Generation etc) and the C&I contactor.
Overseeing of Instrumentation contractors, plant control philosophies and implementation verification. Plant enhancement of control systems and equipment. Design modification or changes (ERA, DRA, DCR’s), investigation and implementation. Investigation of corrective action implementation. Feasibility study of new plants. Coordinating with other Engineering disciplines. Preparation of enquiry documents and NEC contracts for new projects.
New projects tendering, development engineering and concept ional design of new projects, Management of contracts, installation and commissioning. Liaising with the client from conceptional design, through to the preceding handover of the completed plants. The development and programming of PLC’s including HMI and Network development.

Plant optimization, maintenance, enhancement of existing control systems. Training of students
